Hey guys... I have made 2 Maps...
eXo_Race and eXo_Real...
Some People rip my map..
what can i do?
A map ripper is x-law-map from x-law server.. they hace edit the colors and my copyright ! -.-

There is nothing you really can do except be an ass to them whenever you are around them...but that isn't the best way to go around it ether. ^^'

I guess in an sometime this century release, the makers of teeworlds will have it where you can download any maps you want, but you can't edit the map because the map maker made it that way. (For some unknown reason.) So that if you are worried about people stealing your maps just make them un-edit-able. smile

I was only saying that maybe the devs will makes maps like that in the future.

Unfortunately there are currently no means to counter this. Ones your map is on an online server it will be freely shared among the community and can be edited as well. One half solution might be to include your credits to the map, so at least other people can see that it's designed by you, but this still is no guarantee to keep it from being modified.

The best thing is to look at it in a different perspective. The fact that someone took the interest in your map and decided to improve on it does somehow say that your map is a success. There are countless maps, of which many never see an online server after their initial release. Only on a rare occasion has a custom map been found worthy of a remake and have multiple version appeared. Although you could call this "stealing", it's also a recognition of your qualities.
