In the Catching Mod can catch your opponent.

The purpose is to get all players in your team. Whoever has the most catches at the end of the round, and the team who dominates, wins.

Quite simply, you hit the opponent with your hammer.

- Up to 16 different teams
- Instagib, Vanilla or other (you can change each weapon at rcon)

One of the new Features are the new gametype tcatch, in this gametype you have up to 16 teams now. Team colors inspired by |X-treme|Bee.
I dont copy anything from other mods exspecialy not catching16, only help from Redix.

Configuration - state kind value - minimum - maximum - description
sv_deathtiles_change_team - 0 - 0 - 1 - player changes team if he dies by Deathtiles
sv_show_name - 0 - 0 - 1 - fades in the player's names
sv_weapons to catch 0 - 1 - permissible with weapons - 1 - (play mode of the new version)
sv_damage - 1 - 0 - 1 - player changes only the Te am he is in if he dies (play mode of the new version)
sv_new_round - 2 - 0 - 20 - Beginning new round after the given value (in seconds)
sv_self_kill - 0 - 0 - 1 - player can commit suicide (it is not recommended, because he can thereby escape being caught)
sv_self_damage - 0 - 0 - 1 - player can hurt himself (it is not recommended, because he can thereby escape being caught, or his health can fill again)
sv_spec_catch - 0 - 0 - 1 - player whom was caught goes in spectator for this round, and joins next round
sv_gun - 1 - 0 - 1 - Giving the plays a Gun/Pistol
sv_shotgun - 1 - 0 - 1 - Giving the players a Shotgun
sv_grenade - 1 - 0 - 1 - Giving the players Grenade/Rocket
sv_laser - 1 - 0 - 1 - Giving to the players a Rifle/Laser
sv_next_vote - 60 - 0 - 0 - fixes, when next vote (in seconds) can be begun
sv_regen - 0 - 0 - 0 - fixes the Health/Armor regeneration
sv_speedup_mult - 10 - 1 - 100 - Around how much should go to his boost are multiplied by the player speed
sv_speedup_add - 0 --100 - 100 - fixes the power of the Boosts (<< , >>)
sv_jumper_add - 0 --100 - 100 - fixes the strength of the jump
sv_gravity_add - 0 --100 - 100 - fixes the strength of the Gravity (Reverse pullovers (arrows down))
sv_teleport - 0 - 0 - 1 - Teleporter on or switch off
sv_strip - 0 - 0 - 1 - If activated this takes away weapons from the player after teleportation
sv_teleport_num - 25 can be used - 0 - 78 - how many Teleporters can be used
sv_jumpboost - 0 - 0 - 1 - permissible higher jumps for server administrators
sv_jetpack - 1 - 0 - 1 - If activated, the jumps of administrators are Jet pack-like.
sv_spawn_pickups - 0 - 0 - 1 - Enable or disable pickups spawning.

kill_pl <ID> - Kill the specified player <ID> - example: kill_pl 5
kill_all - Kill every single player
teleport_all <ID> - tele-ported all players to this <ID> - example: teleport_all 0

kick_all - Kicking all players

Ive wrote today the first beginnings of the version 3.0.

Hello Nox Nebula !
I played to your Catch mod and yes it`s great !
But I think your mod is illegal. With dummy option you can fake the number of players. I don`t like cheater admins who fake this number to have more players.
So I ask you to remove this option. Or to set the good number of players. Like in Zomb Mod.
This problem is becoming bigger and bigger. lvl mod too use this faking. It is maybe more bad than to display DM for a iDM mod.
Else admins could ban your servers. I hope you understand me. (sorry for my english tongue).

Also : use Catch16 colors. I can`t see difference between Pink and Light Orange, Aqua and Light blue, ... Thanks.

I dont think so, dummys only for testing and offline servers, or if not enought players on the server. If 2 dummies setted and 1 player join, left 1 dummy.

BTW: Ive find the Crashbug and the Scoreboardbug.

I am not against dummys. I am against dummys displayed as active players in server list.
I think there are players. But there are often not. It is that the faking.
It is so easy. Tomorrow we will see servers with 15/16 players always display. Even if there isn`t anybody. It is dangerous.
Please do as Zom mod do.

Actually it's your problem. The dummys will be reported to the master-servers, the server will have a faked count of players, matricks will ban the servers, nobody will host the mod.

Not a good argument Zeratul. If this feature can`t be used, remove it.
If I make a bot and give a link to download it here, you will say I am allowed to ? Because it do not depend on me if people use it ?
If this feature is for developement only, keep it secret.
I would like to see a post of official moderator about problem of fake number of player. I think it is a big problem today sad.

if you make a bot and give a link to download it HERE, then i think it isnt correct, because u made the bot ONLY to cheat. and cheating isnt good in anyway, only if the others think its ok. thats my opinion.
but if you add commands to the mod which could contain evil things, its ur problem if you use it to use this evil things. maybe the dummys are only for developing, but even if not there isnt any reason to remove them, because maybe some other wants to use them to, maybe for a little mod of the mod or something like that. i think nox wont be punished for things some "noobs" may do.

Even official server use 2 dummys today (ip : 94.23.56.15, port : 8338, name : Catching 2 - Teeworlds Community).
All other mod with evil things remove the links to source code : examples :

I`m surprised that there is no admin here to talk with me. are they afraid because they know it is not allowed ?
To Nox Nebula : I expect other things that "I agree to cheat and fake my servers".

My suggestion would be (like already someone said), to not count the dummys at the "how many players" stat - then it is legal in all terms as I know and you can see how many active players are there... Anyway, dummys are nice place holders, nice for testing and also give you a bit longer gameplay - yeah really, you have to find them - and, you have also to defend them tongue And that makes a new way of fun smile
So I see no reason why they should be removed... otherwise, why did no admin replied yet about that?! wink

Servers faking playercount have been banned before and will be in the future aswell, so there is no reason anyone would want such an option. It just makes devs have to spend time moderating the masterserver instead of coding, which I hope nobody here thinks is good.

I concur. Not only we will ban servers hosting dummies, but I will remove any link to mods that allow faking stats in the masterlist and I will ban the users posting such mods....

We have other things on our hands than to spend time identifying servers lying about their stats.

Only report real players to the masterlist and you'll be fine.

lvl mod too use bots as active players. And "[FR] zeRozo" servers (ip : 94.23.46.113, port : 8303). I hope these servers will be banned too. Since it is unfair for good server admins.

zeRezo servers doesn't use mods for the bots, but clients, the server is not modded so it's OK. We'll check lvl mod.
