Re: [HELP] How do I start a server?

1. Make a new file named "autoexec.cfg" in your teeworlds folder
2. This is your config File, open it with the editor and enter the things like 'sv_map, sv_name, ...'
3. Run your teeworlds_srv

            DONE

Re: [HELP] How do I start a server?

Do NOT install Teeworldds by your package-program, because it's a old version.

Instead, do:
* Download Teeworlds.
* Unzip.
* Create a config-file called "autoexec.cfg".
* Run this commands in a terminal:
cd /path/to/teeworlds/folder && ./teeworlds_srv

And it's up!

Re: [HELP] How do I start a server?

Oh, so Fedora is up to date, good! smile

You should only download the binarys. And when you start, make sure that you start from a terminal like this:
cd /path/to/teeworlds
./teeworlds_srv

Don't forget "./" before "teeworlds_srv".

Re: [HELP] How do I start a server?

Maybe you are using a 64-bit-computer and have downloaded the 32-bit-linux-server? Then it will say "command not found".

Re: [HELP] How do I start a server?

Fedora 11 32 bits

Re: [HELP] How do I start a server?

Then it's harder... Try with this:
cd /path/to/teeworlds
chmod 700 teeworlds_srv

Then start the server:
./teeworlds_srv

Re: [HELP] How do I start a server?

Kottizen, thx, I had this problem on Ubuntu, and you helped me with it. I think, it's helpful, if the Documentation will be fixed from teeworlds_srv to ./teeworlds_srv.

Re: [HELP] How do I start a server?

Server's configuration in client's configuration ? (settings.cfg)

You open the files with Wordpad, which can change fonts and more.
To do this, he add some informations in file.
The result is not what you want.

For better results, use Notepad
