You will see it in the LAN-tab.
Everyone else in the Internet-tab.

This is normal, it should be like that.

If someone don't join, check your firewall or routers configuration, or... just wait big_smile

Are you running a .bat file? If yes, read what it says! It will write you if it can connect to the masterserver or not - if not there will come something like "Error! Can't connect... please check your firewall or port and blah"

Anyway, have you added sv_port xxxx and sv_register 1 in the .cfg?

Re: [QUESTION] Why is my self-made server shown on the LAN browser?

then stop trying to make a server
if you want to make one you have at least to know how to open a port on your router
the port doesnt matter if its more than 255 ..
alt + r
cmd
enter
ipconfig
on default gateway copy the ip
paste it in ur browser
there might be an access page u need the login and password that u got when u configured ur router or when u bought an internet  access  from roger or watever is ur isp
then find the port settings and open a port ex : 8303
in ur autoexec.cg put sv_port 8303
sometimes u need to go on rogers.com or the site of ur isp   enter in ur account  and open a port from there
it is easy i dont know why so many people cant make servers ill make a tutorial if it keeps going like that
there u go
