Topic: [MAP] Oasis

New and final version of Oasis

I want to show ya guys a new map. It was hard to make it big_smile
Water does animation like waves^^ It looks ugly in the editor tongue
Download and open in editor to see the whole map.

  • Gameplay: WaterMOD, iCtf, iDm, Ctf, Dm, CRAZY-Mod, iCtf+, iDm+, [N]Dm/Ctf and Domination Mod

  • Tilesets: Pirates, Pyramide2 by iPhone747

  • Size: 382kbytes / Dom Mod: 400kybtes

  • Its a allround map with nearly every Mod compossible (except Race)

  • Perfect Gameplay with those mods!

I would host your map but I am now having connection problems too
But we are making new 20H 24/7 servers, so, I will want to get your map there when turned on wink

if you press the tabulator before you make a screenshot in the editor u will get more nice screens, like this:

Thx for the tip. I think iPhone747 saw this thread and im sure that he wont be angry, Ive wrote full credits to him in section tilesets... Again its an open source game, and you can append every tileset u want. Ive not copied his map and modificated it, I just adapt my map with his tileset..

ohhh man sorry [JD]TeeTee that i use your Map theard for the discussion. But what is the problem?
I think that [JD]TeeTee explained all perfect.
I only will that nobody copy my "Maps" (rebuild or make a other version of the map). But if you use the Tileset to build your one completely new map you can use it. (i know this is really hard because i only designed the tileset for my map but on this map you can see that is possible to create an other map with the Tileset without any copy RESPECT!!

The biggest reason why i don't post my tilesets is that so manny guys won't give credits or split the tileset and take only what they can use.


But thats on other Subject.

i played the map and it looks really good. I love the idea with the two animated waters.
My only critic is that the isle in the mittle of the map is completely unhookable. And normaly the sand is hookable^^.

Thanks iPhone747, that u stressed that point (tilesets).
The map is now completly new, and has a good gameplay! I also added a small riverine oasis.

Hmm you know thats a modified version of Oasis_dom.map... And every map here has a full copyright, so you had to ask me before u post it. Sorry that you spent time in it, but you have to delete that :S. I like the minimap btw.^^

btw: you should spend a thought about the balanced of the dom-spots
team red: 1 dom-spot
team blue: 2 dom-spots
neutral: 1 dom-spot
team red captime: 39 seconds
team blue captime: 31 seconds
==> imbalanced
haha, now i deleted my post and you didnt said anything about it, without the map, what do u think about the imba?

No problem, if blue goes out of their hiding, its easy to cap the flag. Ive thought about that too wink Maybe at the start of the round blue gets more flags, but the game balances automaticlly that out^^.
