Topic: [TOURNAMENT] The Pirates Instagib Award [GreenNoob clan]

Hello all Tee players! Welcome on our tournament page!
The GreenNoob clan invites YOU to the 1on1 tournament which teeworlds has ever seen!

Relevant data:
Map: Pirates (old edition, version 1)
Mod: Instagib (without laserjumps)
Players: 1 vs 1
Timelimit: 15 minutes
Turns: 2 (1 blue, 1 red)
Time: 18.30 -21.00 (GMT+1) [only at working days : Mo-Fr]
Starting date: 8th of June
Server: Maxigame and GreenNoob (russian and german)

Rules:
- A pyramid table will be randomized (so players will play with opponents from pyramid table)
- All games will be recorded from the server
- Selfkill is allowed
- Aimbots will be banned!
- The winner gets 30$, the second 10$ [money is sponsored by me (I am a member of GN) so no one has to pay anything!
  (You will need PayPal or WebMoney with income allowed to get the money if you win)].
- You are the winner of one duel when you have more additional points than the other player.
  Example: player1(red) : player2(blue) = 331 : 23   --(change)-- player1(blue) : player2(red) = 112 : 400
                    --> points will be added so result: 443-423  --> player1 wins
                          (if the result is equal the kills will be counted and the one with the most wins the duell)


If you are interested to join the tournament please write in our guestbook (with your teeworlds-name and your Email!).
We don't take all players because the tournament would become too big, so please only write if you are a PROgamer on pirates instagib (map version 1).

   
A few words from me:
- I will not participate.
- I think we will publish all the demos in one archive.
- If we do not see bots in the competition then the prizes will be increased.
- All demos will be used for testing of the anti-aim-bot algorithm.
- We will have more competition after the anti-aim-bot mod release (If of course this party does not fail as a competition event)

My post may be pretty useless because I won't participate, but I personnaly feel that iCTF 1on1 is (imo) completely useless and pointless. This just needs dynamic camera and some aim, with basic moves. Nothing more, nothing else.

Capture The Flag is a team mode, thus I'd like to understand why does many people play it in 1on1. Could you trya explain me? Maybe that I am missing a point here, and if so, I wanna share it smile

I can explain cause I play 1on1 and [more] on [more], too.
If you play the 1on1 on pirates with the PROs you will see that you need the best skills in moving and aiming to win.
If you dont have very very good skillz you will loose definately in 1on1. In 6on6 you can have basic moves and aim and nevertheless you will get some points; in 1on1 you wont get points then and you will loose in 2 minutes.

So 1on1 is the most difficult gametype you can find. Try to win vs someone of us; you will loose very fast^^

The point is that you need more tactics than you think and without the best skillz you wont have a chance to get 1 flag.

By the way: This is the gametype where I have the most fun and many others, too, so it cant be that useless and pointless you think wink

a good movement is vey usefull

exampel:
You are red and your rival blue.
You and your rival have the two flags.
You stay at the blue base and youre rival at the red.
-if you are faster as youre rival you meet against at your homebase and have 2 maybe 3 chances to kill youre him, because you have the shorter way to the blue flag (when you get killed) as when both player meet against in the blue base.
-if youre rival is faster he have the 2-3 chances.

It seems veeery unfair. Are you sure you know all skilled players' nicks?
Larger tournament tree does not mean much longer cup, just needs more servers.

We know some of the names frequently play beginners and aimbot players (really unfair players), we would like to filter them, because know their playing level. I think all the unknown names will be able to participate in the tournament.

Possibly, I will not have a possibility to participat in tournament, but I very much would like. How to you to prove, what I the good player, instead of cheater?

On our servers played a lot of players not from our clan, and they could vote to kick you out from the server for 5 min. If you are blocked on our server that does not mean that you can not participate in the competition. Even if GreenNoob players kick you, you can write in the guestbook that does not use a aimbot and will participate in the competition.    

But beware: all game demos will be analyzed by anti-aim-bot program. Particular attention will be given to those players who suspected in using bots.
