Topic: [HELP] How do i compile (N00B!)

I just downloaded the source code for TW 4.2 and i have no idea how to compile. Plz help me and i am a total noob to computer talk so be simple. (i already know that u can just download the game but i want to know how to compile the code)

Agree with buffer[].
Take care for doing things exactly how are them written in support section. I am 100% TeeNoob, and when I compiled TW, you will can do it too.
Or you can send the source for compiling here and I can compile it for windows.
P.S.: What OS do u use?

But the Bam you find in this link wont help you.
You have to download svn. And use this link in cmd: svn export -r "{2008-05-04 03:05:12}" svn://svn.teeworlds.com/bam

Then you got the ban version of 0.4.2/3 version.
Everything other is in the documentation in support.

how can i send the source to one of you guys? How could u send me the compiled version? wtf is os or bam? i'm very computer noobish. I will be glad to send anyone my source to compile (I "might" have made some slight modifications to the client)

make the source into a .zip file (i hope you know how to do that!) then go to filebin.ca and upload it. Then give us the link once you've uploaded it  to us, here in the forum.

Sorry, I am compiling only newest versions, because of older versions are not supported.

ok, nobody has answered my question. how do i compile 4.2? I WANT TO COMPILE 4.2!!!!!! I don't want to do 5.1 or anything else. If u can help me then plz do so, but if u aren't telling me how to compile 4.2 then i don't want to hear it! I apreciate your thoughts but I've been working for like 4 months on this and i want to compile it! (i tryed looking at the support forum but it doesn't work with 4.2, i spent the last 12 hours trying to use the support instructions and i can't do s***)

...you cant compile it. the suport instructions are the ones 0.5.1 and you cant compile it cos you need an older version of bam. And since thats not availible then you cant build so theres no point telling you how!

i spent another 4 hours on this today... i used Janschi's way to get the bam for 4.2. I know that anyone else could probably do this in 10 minutes but i really need help and i'm getting VERY discouraged and depressed. I hope that i can compile 4.2 or i just wasted 4 months of my life and i might commit suicide (jk, i don't need ur simpathy). but i'm sad so plz help me compile this thing.

2 questions:
1.You are on windows right?
2.did you modify the server or the client? Or both?

EDIT: Sorry it won't work i have never compiled 0.4.2 before. I think you should ask someone with better knowledge
