you can play dm, tdm and ctf! The scoreboard looks like teeworlds...
Looks like an ugly rip-off. Meanwhile I check up how the rights are about this, you can enjoy reading http://news.teesites.net/2009/05/23/din … ds-rip/en/

Not a game-dev-company, but there's a contact person (Stephane P.) which is liable for the software,...
Stephane P. is also listed as the developer of the software at Apple Inc.
If I were a TeeWorlds dev, I would prepare a copyright-lawsuit
Teeworlds is Free/Open Source software and it is perfectly legal to use the code, repackage it and or sell it. What's more, I don't think it is a copyleft license so code has neither to be redistributed to us, nor to the users. So maybe it can be considered bad behavior from that company not to have discussed it with us before-hand and releasing their iPhone specific code so we can provide the game for the iPhone, or provide some donations, but nothing can or should be done.
Teeworlds contributors agreed to release their code under the very same Free license.
The saddest part imo is that they repackaged it into a fugly game instead of keeping a Teeworlds-based environment (asking matricks for using the name, or changing the name only). That kind of change makes me think it was done with the worst intentions (copyright infringement & counterfeit) because it would have been unnecessary if the author had understood Free Software.
You may read more about Free Software here: http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html
They might be infringing one aspect of the Teeworlds software license though:
1. The origin of this software must not be misrepresented; you must not
claim that you wrote the original software. If you use this software
in a product, an acknowledgment in the product documentation would be
appreciated but is not required.
Oh and by the way, the company you posted is not the developer of the game. It is merely a company which "hosts" other companies -- stuff like mail, etc. Hence the name, "Service de domiciliation pour les entreprises" (Business Office Services).
Dino Smash online (aka Teeworlds) has some success some the iPhone : top25 French, top50 American sales. You can see a video there: http://www.jmobil.fr/videos/1953-dinosmash-online.html
heyy.
dont post it in a teeworld news site. because only people who play with teeworlds will see and support it. lol
This is the official homepage from DinoSmash
URL
it is a shame to copy a game and sell it for 0,79€
they copied the game 1:1 same weapons same map names e.g. "CTF2"
in my opinion they should spend the money on the teeworlds developers!
...Well the gameytpes...anyone could think of those! And does it matter about the mapnames? I agree it's pretty similar, but maybe they copied another game that's like teeworlds. I like the name!
I hope an official version on iPhone/iPod touch!

What game!?!?!? -.- teeworlds is the only... they are =!!! see the score menu... they have same weapong and same map name... it's only copied and adapted...
I am the manager of the company that have released dinosmash.
Dinosmash is just partly based on teeworld, lot of code is coming from our game engine (Music, Sound, Controls, Network) and the part that is coming from teeworld has been modified to run on iPhone/iPod (low memory, processor, open GLES).
Like said by Magnet the teeworld license allow us to use part of the code to do a new game and nothing is misrepresented, it will have been misrepresented if we said in the software something like: "programmed by XXX" but we have not put anything like that in the software.
You don't have to explain what is free software or open source, we have contributed to lot of GNU projects, including code for Linux.
We will be happy to provide code back to teeworld, the main problem is lot of code is linked to our game engine and it will not be very easy to port back to teeworld.
We were also planning to make donation to teeworld but think that dinosmash has just been released a few day ago.
I will make a donation now and we will make another one after we get some financial results.
If Magnet and the teeworld contributors agree we can also work on making a new software for iPhone/iPod compatible with teeworld and we will be more than happy to call it teeworld and also to give part of the money back for teeworld development/servers.
Yehpeeeee!!!! So good ideas!
Thanks for your message, I think we couldn't hope for more, and thanks for keeping the spirit of Free / Open Source software. Please understand our surprise to see the game so fully repackaged without a word previously .
I think we're all open to improving Teeworlds further, and it could also be mutually beneficial as it would reduce the work needed to upgrade DinoSmash/Teeworlds when we release a new version.
We will discuss with other TW developers to see how we should manage downstream development.

Tnx for your quick answer to my mail, Stephane ^^
This is a very good news for the teeworlds community.
Our game license is very very liberal and I personally can't see any problem with this. Just carry on as usual.
...
It's very nice of you to answer. Thanks very much!
I had a bad feeling, but now it's ok. I am happy to agree with it!
Just another question... If (for example) Nintendo was interestet in Teeworlds, would they be able to port Teeworlds to Nintendo DS under another name without giving ANY credits?
Open Source, yeah?
