Topic: shot in the dark here

I'm a total noob here (just played my first game and LOVED it) so don't flame me for this.

I was just wondering the possibility of teeworlds getting released on the xbox live arcade; or even their somewhat new community games section of the marketplace.

I'm sure that there are advantages of keeping this game strictly on the PC but I think it would catch on and become profitable if this game were released on one of the home consoles marketplaces.

Or am I being completely ridiculous here?

I've seen a few games with 2d deathmatch-like gameplay on the marketplace:

Battle Havoc (community game)
Hironymus Bash (community game)
Worms

and the upcoming Rocket Riot.

I would buy teewords in a heartbeat if it meant I could throw down some matches with my xbox friends. What are the chances?

Thanks

Well, if they'd wanted to make money (without loathing the open source concept) they could put it on http://gamejolt.com/developers/ad-sharing/ (I don't understand the concept of that site very well though).

Either way, you should take a look at the discussion around teeworlds on the wii.

I think a very good coder could make this for the xbox. I seem to recall matricks saying: "You can put it on the wii, we have given the source code out for free" or something like that. Well i guess that means that if your prepared to put it on a console, then do it big_smile

Bye.

Re: shot in the dark here

My personal opinion is: Making teeworlds available in Xbox, would be cool.
But I think it would get too publicized and over crowed; Also, since teeworlds is free, it might get the attention of the maker of Xbox, or WII, and change it into something totally different then how it is right now... and I like it just how it is. :C

Correct me if I am wrong...

Give others the respect you wish to be respected with. In the mean time, enjoy the website!

Re: shot in the dark here

Developers have stated that the community is free to expand Teeworlds to other consoles then the PC, but that they don't have the time / resources for it. So yes it could happen, but not under supervision of the Teeworlds development team.

The only thing which would suck about having Teeworlds on a console would be playing without a mouse and keyboard.

Though that is just my personal opinion smile
