Topic: My server, shows up on the LAN list.

Hello. Im pretty new.
I'm trying to start my own server, so i can play with my friends. BUT! It always put it on lan mode, and i want to make a server, that runs over the internet. Which wont work ;'(.

In my setting i got this in the bottom:
sv_name Pimp my shit.
sv_register 1
sv_rcon_password pass123
sv_max_clients 16
sv_map dm1
sv_scorelimit 20
sv_timelimit 20

And in the .BAT file i got:
teeworlds_srv.exe -f settings.cfg

Please help me out
/Btw the pass isnt 123 d;.
/Btw2, if you got some cool things to add to my server. Then come with them (Sv_Something)

Have you port forwarded in your router?

Re: My server, shows up on the LAN list.

Add sv_port 8303 and
sv_external_port 0 to your config. That might solve it might not.

Bye.

Listen guys.

It's normal that the server shows up on your LAN list instead of the internet one. It's hosted on your computer after all, and it's your LAN whether you like it or not. big_smile

The thing is - the server shows up on LAN only for YOU. Other players will see it on the internet list. That's how it works. Don't be afraid, just run the server. big_smile

Uhm, do you need to pay, to have an internet server. Because, my friends cant see it either + I tried to join with my 2nd computer, and it was on LAN there.

If your second computer uses the same router, it's still the same LAN. You don't need to pay, c'mon.. big_smile Have you configured your router to forward the ports?
