Topic: [HELP] Is it possible for the Tee-Strike to become pickups?

I just have a question for the developers of tee-strike. As of now, you can only obtain weapons by buying them and playing weird gametypes. So here is my question....

Is it possible for the new weapons to be available simple like the usual weapons in game, for pick-up?

I think it would make a whole new type of teeworlds.

if its pick up you need universal ammo like  grenade pickup is universal grenade ammo laser is uniiversal laser ammo etcetc

Ugh... Tee-Stike isn't just about the new weapons but also about the new gameplay it introduces. Without the buy system it wouldn't be Tee-Stike.

Only thing I'm missing is a simple free for all survival mode... big_smile

Exactly, but most good players don't want another gametype (especially based on survival), and they would enjoy new weapons (at least temporarily).

I've probably said this before, but I can say it again.

We do not wanna interfere with vanilla, or in any way be some kind of vanilla2. We have plans of making it more similar to vanilla, but we won't use Tee-Strike as some kind of improved vanilla.

There are ppl that play vanilla and as Magnet said, many of them probably will see new weapons as a temporary enjoyment. I bet my socks that they still will go back to the normal vanilla at the end of the day. For the others that want something else than vanilla, and something new, vanilla + new weapons won't cut it either.

Vanilla is vanilla, and we all love it way too much to wanna change or improve it. Still, we're planning improvements that we hope will make Tee-Strike a mod that runs parallel with vanilla without overlapping.
