Topic: After start TeeWorlds 1 time -> connection corrupted (Vista)

Hi there,

i have now a new problem,

When i start Teeworlds, and connecte one or two times to a server, and than close teeworlds, the connection of my internet is corrupted, i can't connect to the internet with any online programs, i must make a reconnect of my rooter before i can connect to the internet.

But now, another problem (or the same?)
Whenn Teeworlds is started, the connection is corrupted too for alle internet programms, except Teeworlds.

it is really annoying to restart the rooter every time...

My OS is Win Vista Home Premium SP1 (32 bit)
And i go into the internet over LAN wire

I hope you can help me with this issue

I can't know whats the reason of your problem, but I think it is not caused by TeeWorlds.
I think you must search for the reason elsewhere

I had just the same problem. Same OS and I also use a LAN wire to the rooter.
Are you sure that your cable is stucked in correctly?

I thought it was a virus, so I re-installed my Vista. but it didn't help. I checked many times the cable, but then I noticed that you need to insert it more abrasivly.

The cable is stucked in correctly, and it'S only by this game,
than i think i must search the reason for this problem here and not elsewhere

Hey Rule i got some questions big_smile :

1. already updated your rooter's firmware to the latest one?
2. give some more detailed info.. rooter name / manufacturer / ...?
3. is it possible for you to try it with an other pc? maybe a laptop from a friend e.g.?
4. what connection speed do you use? (up / down in kBit/s)
5. any software / hardware firewalls except the rooter one?

MMM seems like teeworlds use 100% of router capabilities or use all his little ram ><
I think you also like while you are ingame, isn't it? XD

I think the problem is on your router... update it to the latest version... unlock all the half open connection (in the router and in the o.s = vista).

1. Yes it is the lates firmware
2. Arcor WLAN Modem 200
3. I have tested it on 4 PC's on all the same problem

5. No i have disable all firewalls on my PC

"unlock all the half open connection" what u mean with this?
increase die half open connection or reduce?

So the problem must be the router or your internet connectivity

It was also just at Teeworlds. I wondered why. (I wrote an .exe that allows me to start the regular teeworlds.exe and my server at the same time)

I can't really explain it. It's strange...

ok sry for the late answer...

Arcor WLAN Modem 200 ->
- made by ZyXEL .... omg
- allows 10 half open tcp connections max
- is just ******

DSL 2000
- ok enought for tw.. big_smile

best thing is to buy a new router .. from netgear, avm(fritz!box), d-link ...
