Topic: [SERVER] New HuH Instagib CTF Server
Hi,
Some of you who play iCTF may know the HuH Instagib CTF Server, which has been running on official maps since 0.4.
Last night we opened a new server to accomodate the increasing number of players (the server was really crowded during the evening and almost unplayable).
It's a 10-slot server (+6 spec), with the same settings as the other server. However, this server is password protected (the password is in the title anyway, you should be able to find it by yourself) and dedicated to experienced players.
We decided to only allow experienced players on this one, because most of the time, new players were getting overwhelmed by the better players, and the better players were being blocked by the new ones. By dividing the two we hope to have more fun playing the game.
Some rules, that apply even to the main server :
_ Don't camp. Seriously, don't. Also, know the difference between defending and camping. Campers will be kicked, repeated offenders will be banned.
_ When talking to the entire server or someone you don't know, talk in english. Other languages are fine if you know that the other person speaks it as well.
_ Play, don't chat. This isn't MSN/IRC. If you need to have a discussion and can't do it elsewhere, spectate and use teamsay.
_ If you go afk for more than 2 minutes, spectate. Please remember that players automatically go out of spectating at the beginning of a new round. If we kick you when you're afk, don't take it personally, it's just that having a dummy in the team isn't very helpful.
_ Don't vote for ctf3 when the server is full. We allowed ctf3 to be voted only for when the server's almost empty.
_ Votekick is to be used only for aimbots and incredibly annoying people.
To find the servers, look for HuH. Both servers are on the same ip.
If you don't know if you can go on the experienced server, try the main one before. Being experienced means that you know the CTF principles (covering, defending, attacking, etc.) and that you can move efficiently with the hook without hindering other players (having a good aim is recommended too). You must be able to play with your team, and not only for yourself. Being in a clan helps too, even if there are good clanless players.
So update your favorites and play !
