Topic: [GRAPHICS] Sun with animated rays
Introduction
At first, open your map, where you want to add the background. You can also create a new map with the background only - you will be able to append this map to any other maps. I did'nt do it and I don't want to edit all screenshots now - add the simple gradient background (How?).
When you are ready to continue, load the sun image.
Step 1
Make the new group and set its order to 0. Add quad layer in the #0 group and assign loaded sun for her. And now, add the quad to the map and edit it how you want (make it bigger and square it)
Step 2
Make new quad layer without image in the 0# group and set her order less than the layer with the sun.
Step 3
Add quad in new created layer. Hold shift and with technic drag&drop move its green center to center of the sun. Then edit it like on the image:
Step 4
Open the Envelope editor by clicking the [Envelope] button. It is located in the editors bottom right corner.
Then click the [Pos.+] button - you make new position envelope. Drag the blue lines left edge and with moving up and left, set the two values next to [Pos.+] and [Color +] buttons like on the image under this text (it must not be exactly)
Step 5
Right click on the new "sun's rise" center will show a contextual menu. Find the Pos. Env. line there and increase the value by clicking the [>]
Warning - take care for selecting the suns rises center - dont select the sun center !!!
Step 6
Select the new sunrise with the mouse like selecting files in Windows. Then change the value of the [ 90 ] in toolbar - click in that and hold the mouse button and move with mouse left or right - at least to 40. Then press [T] key. Move the mouse to the editor area and you see sunrise rotated by 40°. Move its narrowest side to the suns center and click. Press [T] again and repeat this step while you arent having sunrises on all sun.
Finish
Enable animations with pressing [Ctrl]+[M] and look at your sun. Yeah, you done it
