hi!
today i layouted a litle bit and tried to re-do the teeworldsmenue:
i thought about it becouse new players who play the game the first time, only see this boring gray areas which dont rly fit to teeworlds...
my layouted look could be better becouse it is lighter and you already can see something of the game 
it is not perfect but what would you think about a new look like this?

Landil: hmm you are right "know your product" is not a that good font becouse all letters are on capslogg. By now the teeworlds font is arial, right?
Bee: hmm maybe a lighter sky? like the sky of dm1?

I think it would be nice to have the official maps as the menu background. Load some random offical map, and let the camera scroll slowly through the map (for example slowly from bottom left to top right), then change the map to some other official map after some seconds and repeat it with another movement of the camera.

i took a new font and background:
We tried an animated background, but it got too messy. We will probably come up with some kind of a background later.

That's looking better but,
maybe you should make the outlines a bit smaler, cause then it wouldn't look so massiv.
Or a demo on the backround where tees playing.

the tabs are huge
make them smaller so theres more space?
and make quick search smaller
and make text on filter a tiny bit bigger
and make the "name" type" "map" and "ping and "players smaller
and the text is alittle blocky, unorganized, or thick or big. i cant decide which one. maybe all of them
there should be more space for servers than the actual menu
otherwise, it looks awesome!
the first time i downloaded the game, i didnt know how to play so i was randomly clicking around unttill i found the connect button. then i was stuck in an instagib server until i found the disconnect button.
