Topic: [TOOL] Tee Game Loader

HI@all... ^^
I've written this small but very useful teeworlds tool, only for windows. TGL.

What he does? XD
It load Teeworlds. big_smile
But before loading teeworlds, you can choose your game.png & particles.png on the fly.

I've realised it for ESL.it matches, where you mustn't use custom skins (they have gave me too much penalty point 4 custom skins XD)

Now it is only in beta version, i will update it in the next week. So feel free to tell me your opinion.

How to use: simply launch TGL instead of teeworlds.exe. If you want to add game.png's or particles.png's add them to their respective directories (game & part)

Other idea i will implement in the future:
- download automatically new teeworlds version
- download automatically skin from the teeworlds-db
- other graphics support
- saved profiles (game.png + particles.png + other config)

It would be pretty awesome if it was for mac and you can substitute the regular teeworlds skins so that you are using  a custom skin and other are seeing you play as the "brownbear" skin for example

i wrote one of these time ago. called it Teemer.

Teemer.exe & "FILES" Folder need to be placed in the folder as teeworlds.exe
Ive also included "Default" Media <- for backup n shit.

(HOW TO USE THIS , just click on the first list box n scroll mouse wheel n click on one the items n second list box will change to your selection)

i think it was bad that u included the game with your tool.

ive just been looking at your assembly with IL Disassembler and ive come to the conclusion that uve used Visual C# yh?

Visual Studio 2008 => C# => .NET
Now i'm finishing the software ^^

The loading, as you have written before editing, is a timer of 5 seconds. So, before the game starts, you can decide if you want to modify the options or to leave the same game.png & particles.png

Now you can personalize on the fly:

- ninja skin

It downloads automatically new skins & new games from TEEWORLDS DATABASE http://teedb.info

Known issues / TO DO => version 1.2
- names of the skins
- too many skins in /data/skins
- add teeworlds news
- teeworlds update doesn't work yet

My work today: (but today is not finished yet XD):
- names of the skins DONE
- too many skins in /data/skins DONE, but i must rework some functions
- add teeworlds news DONE, with forum RSS
- teeworlds update doesn't work yet
- add an X button DONE
- intelligent updater (automatically update before teeworlds starts and only new skin) DONE
- improve interface DONE... improved speed & usability... but I can do better XD

mmm i will release 1.2 today but i can't correct a bug in teeworlds automatically download (new versions), so for now it only check if there are new version...

I personally don't use a lot of skins, but this looks very handy.
What'd you program it in exactly?

Upcoming mapper the utilizes in re-creating classic NES & SNES title into maps.

I know this project is really outdated and this topic shouldn't be bumped up, but I want to release the final version, never published before, and the sources. It took only 1 year and 3 months, but I decided to make it public big_smile

Now the old TeeDB is dead, so the "autoupdate" function doesn't work anymore and it's quite useless. There are many nice functions and I hope someone will use this for integrate into the new TeeDB to make it again working. I have no time for that.
I think there should be a central database of skins, game.png and maps provided by the official developers and all the functions listed here and provided by TGL should be integrated into the official client.
