Topic: [MOD] Super Smash Bros [v1.0]

Hey guys,
you might remember some good old game on N64 (ssb), GC (ssbm) or even the newer game on the Wii (ssbb).
Im kind of a fan of those games and i played them for a looong time. xD

Anyways, i decided to create a mod which has a similar gameplay and it turned out to be really fun!

Gameplay:
The big aim of the game is to weaken the enemy (by hitting him) and then pushing him down into the void.
Players have 100 health (1 heart = 10 health) and they can't die.
The less health they got, the more they are pushed away by hits.

A new feature being added in this mod is the so called 'skillbar'.
It is nothing more than the armor bar which raises in value for each damage you do.
If you make it to fill it up completely, your next shot will have epic strength.

Weapons:

- Hammer: It knocks the enemys back and deals great damage. The ultimate weapon for close-range fights.
The special ability is making a big bunch of bullets appear out of the ground before you and move up. Those bullets knock the enemy away in the horizontal direction the spacial ability was used:
e.g. O = Tee, . = bullet raising from the ground, -> = knockback
O............... -> OR <- ...............O
Note that this ability only can be shot in the horizontal direction and not up or down.

- Grenade: Inflicts good damage and has a nice knockback.
The special shot is a short ranged wave of explosions which do extremely nice damage and knockback in a direction you never can tell.

- Rifle: Does well damage and knocks the enemy back in the direction you shot. It requires much skill to use, because its hard to hit the enemys accurate and from the right side.
The special shot shoots a really big laser which deals a bunch of damage and knock back.

- Gun: The gun doesnt do extremely nice damage and knockback, though skilled players can beat the hell out of their enemys with it. It prevents enemys from approaching by pushing them back with each hit.
The special mode of the gun makes it behave like a machine gun for 3 seconds. Awesome shooting frequence, infinitive ammo and of course automatic.

- Shotgun: This weapon isn't available for common use.
However if you manage to get your skillbar filled up you can use the shotgun for a special shot aswell.
It shoots bullets in all directions. It actually behaves like a big shockwave which pushs enemys away with a great knockback.

I'd love to see some nice creations for this mod.
But PLEASE keep the following facts:

Try not to use many corners where tees can camp easily: _| for example.
Also follow the KISS motto: Keep It Simple Stupid -> Dont make the map complicated.
Some platforms and well chosen weapon spawns should do it wink
However feel free to design it at your wishes wink

um... should be 1v1 and grenades and hammer only and infinite ammo and final destination or something like a bowl so dont fly out super fast

Well i don't like the idea of 1v1... It will be able to be played in teams, 1v1 and DM but not just 1v1 wink

Ill remove the hook and replace it with a ninja strike which needs to be reloaded (like special attacks in ssb to rescue or do dmg).
also ill fix some knockback terms now and make the gun deal much damage. (balance stuff *sigh*)

The gameplay still is different.
Everyone got lifes and he looses one @ each death.
The last remaining player will win.

Game length is 10 minutes, and after a fight, there is a 2 minutes warmup for players to join agen.

Mmh.. Nice mod, but it's a BIT slow.. I mean there's only one kill every 30-120 seconds, and with 10-20 points it takes long... Oh, by the way: You should add a hook-timer like in the HPrace mod, because if you hook, you can't die!

as i said in my post before:
The hook will be disabled and instead you will do a special rescue-move with the right mouse button which needs to get reloaded

How about using the Ninja Special with a bind (like in WAR3 Mod by saying /ability). Because the Hook would be good for fighting,draggin ppl of etc.
Just make the whole map unhookable (just XD) to prevent people from hooking the ground.

if there is no hook how do you get speed??

when you really stay at your no hook oppinion then you should add kinda dash in the game like when pressing the move key 2 Times you move @ max speed like in ssbb

Maybe u could also add "Events" like in RPG Mod.
Like:

Everybody gets Ninja - Kicking the Enemy VERY far away or just deal much dmg
everybody gets special hammer - Mega blast much dmg
everybody heals 50 points
everybody loose 50 points
everybodys energy is set to 1
Rifle explodes when hitting the ground - explosion hits players away
everybody can shoot superfast

Just some stuff like that would be fun i guess smile

no. no copying other gametypes. or else it woould  be like playing the same thing. also right now it isnt really a time to dd stuff. everything needs to be balanced first

Sounds interesting... but that game play should stay in out of tee worlds.

1. Events are from Toms RPG - MOD, so its not that copied...

2. Event dont have to do THAT much with RPG - MOD, its just some random chaos so its definitly not making this mode like RPG....

3. Some chaos is never wrong in SSB. Like the "All live to 1" Event would cause players to panic wink

And okay.... you may be right with the balancing stuff.....

Int he Maps should be a long death tile  in the air and to both sides so u fight in some kind of cage.
Because without the one up its senseless to hit the enemy straight in the air.

my friends dont want to play teeworlds cause its just always same
