Topic: Vote for Teeworlds on Nintendo Wii
I think, it would be great: targeting with the Wiimote and movong using the Nunchuk.
A downloadable channel would be very good for this
The Wii has the online-feature, so why not using it?

i like it but too bad teeworlds 1.0 will take a long time to make [2-3 years]. and porting and improving it [for single player] will be hard. and a computer is easier than a wii to reach so it is easier for ppl to play on computer. anyways. it would be pretty good if wii players could play with computer players but this is probably not possible [if possible it will probably take verry long]
with the wii you can surf the internet and so on too. and if you have downloaded a channel once you get the updates free. so, i don't see any problems
Franchan. u really think Teeworlds 1.0 will be in 2-3 years? don't be that sure. actuall the devs don't even have a clue when or even if teeworlds will reach 1.0!
cant someone make it for #the homebrew channel" on the Wii.. ??

just a guess. i know this isnt accurate but it took about 2 years to reach 0.5 [am I wrong?] so I'm guessing that teeworlds will take another 2 years to make it to version 1.0. I just said 2-3 because 0.5-1.0 development should take longer than 1.0-0.5 because later on, they arn't fixing as much bugs as usual. instead, they will be adding new features and perfecting the old ones.
another reason it would take about 3 years is that i remember the developers saying since the tee-community is growing, they are spending less time coding and more time helping people at the forums.
Thats all it was. An estimate. don't take it so seriously

you're wrong. if you want teeworlds to reach 1.0 faster. you have to let the developers do what they are doing. they shouldent be trying to port every single version to wii. it would take twice as long for them to update the game... It would be better to wait untill teeworlds reaches 1.0
Vote? NO
Vote? NO
great comment. why!? -.-
pwned
Regardless this would be awesome as a console game. I just came across it today so I haven't tried it yet but I will be after work.
You should get this ported but perhaps you might want to send the completed game to a publisher to see if they would produce the game and make a deal with you. Then they do the porting while you keep improving the pc version. In the meantime you don't have to worry about learning how to optimize code for the wii or the xbox or ps3.
Not that I'm a fan of C# but there's a free xbox sdk for C# .... of course then you're back to porting this yourself again.
i would say this should be a discussion when we are in a final release atm we are in an alpha status so that is just useless crap right now
why for wiiiiiiii .. -.- i want to have it for xbox 360 ^^
and vote? .. yes... try to make tw for wiiiii .. its nearly impossible
I personally won't touch these consoles as that could lead to problems for me. But if anyone else is up for it, go ahead.
I might give it a shot some time in the unforeseen future, given I have time and a Wii. .
I should start a donation counter to buy me a Wii and work on it .
Anyway, I already looked into how to do it, mainly it would be rewriting the rendering to use the Wii's, and there is a project to port SDL to the Wii already so better wait for this project to progress.
It would indeed be awesome and I think people could get very good at the game even using wiimote+nunchuk. Maybe not as good as on PC, but close.
Hardest parts:
- learning Wii homebrew limitations
- rendering
- seeing if all the libs/external party code build on the Wii
- 2/3/4 players mode (since it would be a wii game, it's almost required)
Why make Teeworlds a wii game? XD
Install the HomeBrew channerl on your Wii and Launch Fedora (there is a distro 4 wii)
then launch teeworlds from Linux XD
No need to porting

because it would be native
hm i think the controls were be a little bit hard because an keyboard and a mouse have more keys like the wii controler
you have to use min 8 keys and 1 key like the mouse
and the server creating will be much harder
ah, waiting you can use your wiimote on your pc XD i've tried but playing teeworlds with the wiimote is so hard XD
I think the fine yet fast aiming required for Teeworlds would be pretty much impossible with any sort of point-to-aim controller. Would love to see it happen though.
hm... i have seen and tried this thing for an called darwiinRemote . I havent tried using it with teeworlds myself but you could probably hook up the computer to the Television, Set up darwiin remote for wiiremote and nunchuck, then set darwiin controls to something like:
[aiming is automatically mouse which is aim]
-A button is shoot/hook
-B button is hook/shoot
-nunchuck analog [?] is move left and right
-Z of C button behind nuncuck is jump
- + button is the menu button
- 1 is vote no
-2 is vote yes

BS. I'm using my Trackpad since I'm playing Teeworlds and I'm almost better than someone with a mouse. U just have to learn how to use it right. when u are safe with it u will kick others in their digital butt

Try GlovePie instead of darwiinRemote ^^ better

I used this program for playing with a wii-mote.
It's really fun, but it has a way too high sensivity. I tried everything but the sensivity didnt change.
