Topic: Server timeout and connection problem.

Hi,
I have setup a Teeworlds server on a Linux machine, on my personal connection, behind my router.
I have also set a DMZ for the server, which means that every ports are forwarded. (FTP is working through the Internet.)
I can connect to my server on LAN but every time someone is trying to join it, he get a timeout.
The config file is pretty basic, with only name and round/score limit.
Maybe I missed some config ?
Also, I can see the server list but can't connect to any.(I'm on Vista.)
Thank you for the help smile

Re: Server timeout and connection problem.

Maybe someone can tell me the commons reasons of a timeout so I could see if it's that.

Re: Server timeout and connection problem.

No firewall and all ports are opened...

Re: Server timeout and connection problem.

Contact ISP and ask him if all ports are opened and if you have public IP address

Goodbye all. Account inactive since March 2011.

Re: Server timeout and connection problem.

If I run a Quake server on the port 27960, it works.
If I run a Teeworlds server on the same port, it doesn't work : client dropped. cid=0 ip= reason=""
If I run a Teeworlds server on the default port 8303, it doesn't work : client dropped. cid=0 ip= reason="timeout"

This is weird, I'm sure that the port 27960 is opened and working, but not with Teeworlds sad
And why I get a timeout with the default port and no reason with another...
