I have translated Teeworlds into German and now my question whether is I this German version as a download may offer?
Hence, the fact that Teeworlds Open Source is no problem would have to be, nevertheless?

Think that if the only modification is the language it's very welcome. There are many German players who would make good use of this.

Looks great!

Maybe you could write a tutorial how you changed the language into German, so that other community members can translate it in their native language as well. I don't know if it's hard or if you want to do so but I think you would make many people very happy. It would be a very good contribution to expand the Teeworlds player base.

Well it's certainly no difficult English but it wouldn't hurt to reach out to more players who might not already be sufficiently acquainted with the English language.

The player base of Teeworlds seems to shift to an ever younger selection of players so I guess it would only be for the best to give better access to the generation who hasn't had sufficient English education yet. Certainly, they would be able to play the English version without exactly understanding everything, but by using their native language there will be one less barrier for them to take before they can play and participate to the community. And more players is always good of course.

Although this is a often heard opinion, such personal visions aren't enough to disable a significant and very plausible player base from participating. For the benefit of the growth of the game Teeworlds must really combine the existing elements like a child-friendly drawing style and really easy gameplay with an ever increasing accessibility.

But let's stay on topic and focus on the possibilities of customizing ingame language instead of it's purpose or possible effects it might have.

The reason that language files aren't implemented yet, and wont be in a while, is because Teeworlds is still alpha and lots of things change with every new version. We don't have time to translate Teeworlds.

Because most of u just get into the puberty and and think all of a sudden that they are the biggest playas in the world. and that's really annoying. sadly it's true. I'm a german guy, so I know how our little kids are working in their mind. wink

I am german and i think the translation is useless, because most of all the words are the same in german or a little bit like german.

I think it is good idea. There are a little bit words same in english and same in czech language. I would to see tutorial - there are a lot of files in TW source. Is there any file where are the text or i must edit and read all files?

The most(I think all) are in /src/game/client/components in the source. The menus thinks are the most important files
