Topic: Hammer Change
Hi,
I do NOT protest against the power of the hammer, but:
The current hammer in Teeworlds is not a good weapon for flowing battles. It is almost impossible to hit an opponent Tee while on the run with the hammer's current short range. Usually, using the hammer evolves into chasing and trying to grapple onto an opponent while continuously swinging the dang thing over and over.
A decent improvement would be to make the hammer swing in a larger arch to cover a longer distance while sacrificing reload time. In this way a quick Tee would be able to fire at a range, come in close to the opponent, and perhaps fly past him while giving him a solid smack with a hammer before switching back to a ranged weapon (Also the impact of the hammer could perhaps send an opponent plummeting downwards, to make them easier to hit with explosives one they reach the ground, although this is not something I would die without). All I would like is to be able to use the hammer in a graceful fashion during combat. Thanks!
