Teeworlds Forum → Support → I can't see any servers
I've just downloaded Teeworlds 0.5.1 for Windows and started it, but there aren't any servers on the list, only the message that no servers were found. I tried with changing the filter but it didn't help. I have Internet and the firewall allows connections with Teeworlds but there are just 0 of 0 servers. I really don't know what to do now. I hope you can help me.
Does this happen with other games like counter strike?
i had the same problam.. did you also change the Game Types area of the filter? that was my problem lol.. i didn't even see the Game Types part.
I'm sorry, but I don't know counter strike so I can't tell you if it works or not.
I changed everything on the filter and refreshed but nothing happened.

well I'm still using 0.4.2 because it seems to be more reliable than 0.5.1
As mentioned - make sure the textbox for filters is empty (game types). However, since it says 0 of 0 I don't think it is a filtering problem. When I unintentionally had characters in that textbox it said 0 of 413 (or so) servers indicating that servers were found but filtered out.
Does the console say anything that might give a clue? What OS is it you're trying to run it on by the way?
You say that your firewall allows teeworlds access to the internet, so I assume that it's allowed by some kind of setting rather then you disable your firewall. Make sure that teeworlds is allowed to communicate by UDP, as this is what's used.
I just need to refresh to the error is gone.

2. I could open an UDP port in my firewall, but I don't know the port name and the port number of Teeworlds.
3. Maybe I found the cause of my problem, when I open Teeworlds, this black-background window says:
[49900067][console]: failed to open 'autoexec.cfg'
[49900067][console]: failed to open 'settings.cfg'
1. OS = Operating System, ie Windows, Linux, Mac
2. See documentation.
3. That could definitely pose a problem. You need to see why Teeworlds cannot open these files.
Please use search here at the forums, I almost guarantee you that you're not the first one that have this kind of problem.
I thank you for your answers, Moriarty. I've already searched the documentation, but didn't find the port name/number of teeworlds there. And I also used the search function in the forum but I didn't find anything helpful.
How can I find out why Teeworlds cannot open the files?
My console also says
failed to open 'autoexec.cfg'
and it does so, since I've started playing teeworlds. That shouldn't be a prolem.
* reset the filters to default
* check if your software firewall allows teeworlds to initiate outgoing connections.
re #3 ..come to think of it, mine says the same but I can play.
