Topic: [idea]capture mode

how about an capture mode in teeworlds? like in batllefield or unreal turnament??
here is my idea:

-there are 6 bases
-each team has his own base at the beginning the other bases are free bases
-at your own base you can find a flag wich respawns ever 30 seconds
-you can capture free base by standing near the flagpole of a base and setting your own flag(which you first have to get at your main base)
-at enemy's bases you'll have to unset the enemys flag first
-if one team has all the bases in his hand, it can attack the enemy's main base
-the team with all bases ore with the most bases(when time is over) wins a round

additional ideas are welcome

Could be interesting for 0.7 or beyond. Things to figure out:
- Do you have to destroy enemy node before capturing it? (like in UT Onslaught)
- Spawning points moving with capture progress? (like in most "Day of Defeat" maps)
- There's going to be a lot of action at the front side nodes -> maybe faster weapon and item respawn there?

I think I understood what you mean. The Unreal Tournament 3 mode is called "Warfare" or "Onslaught" (I forgot it lawl)!

It's fun and yeah this kind of gametype would be actually nice.

But I also don't know if the developer would like this. They said that they don't want to copy gamemodes and that the want to make their own game or something like that.

But before doing things like that, you should put more diversification into our Teeworld.
New tilesets are nice, I don't have anything against this point.... But graphics are not the main type of a game! I want more physics in Teeworlds like WATER, ICE, FIRE and SCRIPTED MAPS.

A gamemode like TeeOnslaught/TeeWarfare would be much more exciting because the bases can be protected by fire or by water and this makes the gamemode just more awesome.

EDIT: I mean, just making a base here and a base there is boring. hmm
There are 16 players on a big TeeWarfare map and they are able to come in prides like wolfs (lawl) to eat everything they see and capturing a base would be just to easy/boring/can't describe.

For example: There's a big cliff and at the top of the cliff is ice. There's the base. If you don't move carefully you would fall down and die. Especially when enemies defend the base the game would be more faster and hectical.

I don't think we need any other gametypes as official gametypes. Also, this gametype would be too "complicated" compared to the official gamemodes.

yes ok you're right: no more game modes for now.
but new weapons or more tiles (Water fire etc.) would really be nice. (I shortly even thought about cars, but no thats no teeworlds anymore). If there would be a new weapon i'd prefer somethig like a M4-A1 in counterstrike or like a minigun in UT. something like a teaser would be funky too.
