Re: Importing Images

Did you even used it before answering ? I did look and searched, and none are talking about importing DOWNLOADED sprite/background. All ive seen is about the image that the folder itself already haves and the tee skin people mades

Re: Importing Images

Uh.. maybe we should start at the BEGINNING of this topic, not somewhere in the middle of it.
Tell us exatcly what you want to do and what you already tried (What did you download, how did you try to use it for TW, where did you click, ...)

Because I think we're either talking about different topic or you got a weird problem which needs to be better analysed.

Re: Importing Images

Well im trying to make a Mario map, downloaded sprite and a background, I tried opening them in image section, I can see the file and open it, but images wont load into the editor, is it because it's too big?

Re: Importing Images

Maybe wrong png format? Has to be 24bit with alpha channel.

Re: Importing Images

Put the image into \data\mapres
read http://teewiki.info/wiki/Map_Editor_Tut … _images.21
add a quad layer
choose your image

if you want to use the gfx as a tileset make it 1024x1024px

I know how to add an image and use it, my downloaded images are PNG files and are already in the \data\mapres folder with the others... but still dont work..

Re: Importing Images

There are only two things which could still be the cause:
1) Your png file is corrupt or in wrong format
2) You are doing something REALLY wrong

Solution:
1) Give us the link to one of the files which "are not working" (even if it's some mario stuff, it should be ok so we can explain what's wrong)
2) Tell us what's not working already. The only thing you said is "nothing shows up", and this doesn't help us to help you at all. Best thing would be to make a screenshot of the last thing you're able to do with the image.

Re: Importing Images

this is one of those i took , this one is for whole map background http://www.webdesigndev.com/arcade-header/mario.jpg it is a jpg , but i simply changed extension. Other exemple: http://sdb.drshnaps.com/sheets/Nintendo … /Items.gif changed this one ext. too... Heres the last thing I can do http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/1931/exemplent2.png then when I open, it just do as if I didnt opened any image

Re: Importing Images

Changing the extension won't change the image format. You have to open your JPG in an image editor (such as Gimp) and resave it as a PNG file.
