Topic: [TUTORIAL] Gettings all tiles u want!

Heeeiii Amy here..
Today im gonna show u how to get tiles from another map or the tiles i like when u was playing a game and tough i want this tileset i found a way for u to get them !


Tutorial by: Amy[EaAaTer].exe
Tutorial lenght: 18 Staps


Tutorial:

Stap1. Open Teeworlds map.
Stap2. Open config_directory.
Stap3. Open Maps in confis_directory.
Stap4. Search the map with the tiles u need.
Stap5. When u found ur map (1 click on it and CTRL+C or just copy it)
Stap6. Get back to ur Teeworlds map.
Stap7. Open Data.
Stap8. Open Maps
Stap9. Paste the map that u have copied (CTRL+V or Paste=Rightmouseclick,Paste)
Stap10. Open the game Teeworlds.
Stap11. Open the map that u have copied in your TW maps.
Stap12. When loading the map succesfully ended remove all things(Wait with deleting Images!)
Stap13. When u done deleting things u dont need go to Images and delete the images that u dont need.
Stap14. Save ur map with only images and Option: Game.
Stap15. A Prev. whitetiles.map
Stap16. When u want this tiles in your new map u need hide everything in your normal map.
Stap17. Append now the .map with the tiles u want..
Stap18. Enjoy :D

Warning: Dont forget to give credits from the tileset u used.

Shmafoozius made a patch for the map editor, concerning several nice improvements. In your words: He modded the map editor

besides: the easiest way to get the tileset is to use the tileset grabber one can find here at the forum. then one gets the png-files

hehe, yes indeed. I did not want to post it here, as people who are not able to find it in the forum prolly will use it without having read the discussion.

Also, if you don't know who made a tileset, you shouldn't use it. I overall don't like this method of getting tiles. Just search the forums and databases and you will find those that people have made that's okay to use, others shouldn't really be used if you haven't talked to the author, that's really mean.

I know what u mean butt when i want a tileset i search firts on forums if i can find it ..
Like white and black tiles cant be find in teeworlds i played Beezleboss map and i found it i give credits to his tileset.
so i dont have any problem with using this method i give credits so big_smile
