Topic: [HELP] How to dilate and borderfix my graphical work?

Can someone explain me how this is done? Nowhere on the forum is a clear explanation about it, and I think many people need it. I know I have to compile the source, and than the files "dilate.exe" and "tileset_borderfix.exe" op up. But how to actually fix my tileset so it can be used in maps?

I hope someone of you can explain these things. smile

Thanks already.

Run those two applications one time with your .png as input. It will move around pixels and change a few things to make the tiles fit when you put it in-game.

Always save your original png before dilating and borderfixing, editing an already fixed tileset often gives bad results, also, I once heard somehting about 0.5 not needing dilate or whatever, but that might just be me failing.

1. save the original file
2. use dilate
(3) use borderfix, if the picture is a tileset

Re: [HELP] How to dilate and borderfix my graphical work?

Where/how can I set an image as input? Sorry for my lack of knowledge, I'm just a beginner at this subject.

EDIT: I got it, just need to drag the PNG into the executable file. Thanks for the information!
