i think you mean that as a spectator you should have the option for zoom in the game or zoom out and you should have that only as a spectator maybe like Somerunce did on Teetv

this would be a great option but i think the problem is to manage which team have this option.

not a very good idea i think...
if you could zoom as spectator you would see more of the map at once, also this places without background like this : http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/6426/zoomww5.png

there is a simple solution for it

only rework the offical maps thats all this is a work about 5 mins

Yeah...only spectate.

And is diferent seen the map in the map editor or in the game
The background would be the same you saw when in normal or with the zoom out...only bigger (zoomed too xD)
