Topic: Sun rays

I just made a sun with nice animated new sunrays. I personally like it very much. I hope you like the template for your map. So this map is not playable by itself as it is.

Here is a screenshot, altough it hardly can capture the animation making it nice...

I "borrowed" this idea of a sun from the game "6 differences" ( http://www.kongregate.com/games/Ivory/6-differences ) and yes you'd need to play through the whole game to see his sun there. I made it a little less pervasive altough..

Re: Sun rays

you have to turn on high detail. But yes the rays should also not be visible if high-details are off. Its a glitch to be fixed, yes.

I'm too lazy to look for myself: What is the difference from the dm1 sun?

Well a picture says more than thousand words, so if the description aboth is not enough for you and you really want to know just simply show enough respect to take the 60 seconds and open it in your editor before commenting.  *shesh*. It may not look like it, but it has taken me 2 full days to create it (because I needed a tool to get the envelopes synced that exactly, you impossibly can do this with the given editor).PS: Don't forget to turn on animation.

Re: Sun rays

Totally awesome! I think, I have to use it.

Re: Sun rays

WOW! The rays look so brilliant! catpaw, I don't know if 2 days was this worth - but the result is really awesome smile I'll use this in my new map.

Re: Sun rays

KnüspR and Datag thanks.

I used a selfwritten map->xml converter and viceversa. So you can edit the values of envelopes and quads by hand. I will upload them when some more of their "teething troubles" are fixed.

Re: Sun rays

Well, had a working os this time and it looks nice, even though I can't say it's eyepoppingly brilliant.. smile
