@AMN: Shaddup. And why do people seem to worship google? I mean sure, it has some nice services, but people are treating it like the pope.

Re: [WEBSITE] Teeworlds DB

4 things

a. all dates are currently set to Jan. 1st 1970 (beginning of Unix timestamp, you probably have a typo in your SQL fetch code, so instead of returning an actual unix timestamp, its returning an empty string, which whatever php function is then turning into the above mentioned date)

b. when browsing all skins (default when you click on the 'Tee-skins' link up top) "Admin's Tee-Skins" is always at the bottom (edit: ha, didn't realize the background on these forums and the background on the site where both just white, the below is a screeny of the bottom of the page)

http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/3244/picture4hj8.png

c. as you start to get more skins, having it list every page number will get really cluttered, I would make it so it has something like (if you are currently on say page 5) "First ... 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ... Last", that way, even if there are 50 pages of skins, you will only see that much text (doesn't have to be formatted quite like that, you get the idea

d. the top banner doesn't have the gradient that the background has, so it has a square around it

http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/3646/picture5na9.png

double edit: two more things I just noticed tongue

e. it should be 'Author' instead of 'Autor'

f. when browsing 'All Tee-Skins', the author is labeled as 'All Skins'...

Re: [WEBSITE] Teeworlds DB

Re: [WEBSITE] Teeworlds DB

The author field (and so the "page" title) are defined by the URL, and should be deduced by the 'user_id' instead..
Your 'user_name' var is useless.
And you should display a message such as "there's no user with this id" when an user doesn't exist (I was playing with the URL yeah) instead of just a white page.

And I'm waiting you on MSN tongue

Re: [WEBSITE] Teeworlds DB

d is nonsense^^ must be an error with your browser or something.
it would mean that i made a mistake (and i never make mistakse xD)

Here you see the header and the top border, there is no mistake:

Re: [WEBSITE] Teeworlds DB

looking at the source, it is because the background (and most of the images) are .gif s, and the main title graphic is a .jpg, different browsers will occasionally interpret colors of different image formats as different, in this instance, probably the .jpg (I have had problems with this before)

my guess is you are using FF3, which probably figures it out fine, I'm on Safari 3(.1.2 if you care), which is messing it up (I also find this to be a major problem on older versions of IE, might still be around in IE7, not sure)

actually, if you look /really/ closely at yours, you can see where the title .jpg ends, its background is slightly lighter (probably less then 1% difference), mid way down my little utility here shows 166,212,222 for the last pixel of the .jpg, and 165,210,221  the next pixel over (background) (this is on your screenshot)

my suggestion is stop using formats that aren't really made for what you are doing ->
use .png's ^_^

.jpgs throw in all sorts of artifacts (you apparently have the quality maxed, so there is very little, if you zoom to 3x or so you can see a bit)
and I just don't like .gifs for various reasons tongue

and you should always use the same image format across a page, saves you some headaches (such as this) (and don't complain about filesize, no one is on 56k anymore)

Re: [WEBSITE] Teeworlds DB

I agree with toni: I also haven't got that bug neither with Firefox nor with MSIE. Which browser are you using?

Question? search function
Short movies? Lappi's link loft
Teeworlds info'n'tuts on gfx? Landil's sketchbook
