Topic: Android Game with Teeworlds Graphics

Hi!

I'm a very adicted teeworlds player who really love and enjoy this game. I started playing this when it was called 'teewars'... really good old times.

Aside from a teeworlds lover, I'm a developer involved in many FOSS communities.

Some days ago I was thinking about how much I love teeworlds and its graphics, and because it is Open Source (under a very liberal license, by the way) I was able to create an Android Game that is a Mix/Merge of the 'Frozen Bubble' FOSS game and the Teeworlds graphics.

So its a Bubble shooter with teeworlds appearance.

The game is free (there is a donation version that removes Ads, but the free version has no limitations at all).

I have added a mention (credits) in the google page, explaining that graphics came from this project (teeworlds). Please let me know if you want more detailed credits or something related to the credits.

Aside from thanking teeworlds for such nice graphics and game, I would really appreciate comments and suggestions regarding the idea and the game.

It have some bugs like the "happy tee" on the end of a level, it doesn't have a main menu and they pause menu is kinda odd,
But the gameplay is really cute.
And, the gameplay have a problem witch shouldn't exist:
For exemple, when you just have green balls to destroy, you shouild only receive green balls, just like on the original game.

Btw:
Do you think it is right to have Ads and Paid based apps when you've done nothing but chaning the graphics from an Open Source game?

You can install BlueStacks(it's fast unofficial android emulator), run and drag and drop apk file.

Looks cool. Is this in the apple store? Can't find it. Is it free or paid?

The license allows that, so it's totally okay. Even GPL allows selling compiled app for money.

And it has higher rating than TeeWorlds Android port itself yikes

It's really great that it's available on the google playstore. I feel like most game developers focus so much on iOS and forget that there is an entire market of gamers on android. It sounds fun and it's free so yey!

The google play store is way better than apple's app store. It does not cost $ 99+ per year. $ 25 and there you go. Forever. And I doubt many really free games are on the app store. Most of them have in app purchases or other ways to make money(at least ads)
