Topic: Suggerstions from Nic2

(These are suggestions and not requests tongue)

I was having some ideas for team games.

Like in CTF you could add player classes kinda like ftc (team fortress classic) or something.
Scout:
Weapons:
Hammer, Pistol.
Abilitys:
Little longer hook, slightly faster movementspeed.
Others:
Only start with eight health (8) and no armor.

Soldier:
Weapons:
Hammer, Shotgun and Pistol.
Abilitys:
None.
Others:
Starts with hull health (10) and three armor shards.

Grenadier:
Weapons:
Hammer, Grenade launcher.
Abilitys:
None.
Others:
Starts with full health (10) and seven armor shards.

Medic/Support:
Weapons:
Hammer, Shotgun.
Abilitys:
Heal tees, Drop ammo.
Others:
Starts with full health (10) and two armor shards.

Those are just examples of classes.
There should be more weapons and abilitys to make every class help the team in a uniqe way.
They should also have uniqe looks.


Another suggestion was to add a obstacle course to the game, that you should complete on time
and the result will be added to a high score list on the teewars home page.
Some obstacles could be to swing over some fire with the hook and shoot a button inside some cave with the grenade launcher.

if this idea was going to be implemented there should be a choice for the one who is starting the server, classic or (Nic2 idea). But it could be fun, but not as default.

I was thinking it would be special maps with this type of game play.
(maybe even make some classes unavable on some maps, decided by the mapper)

We wont see this in a near future or perhaps ever. The system adds too much complexity for small gains, in a game that should be simplistic. We have actually tried a class system before but it didn't add much either.

Personally, I much prefer powerups to classes. There's a timing factor involved, which makes it rewarding for skilled players (think "clocking the quad" in Q3CTF) Also, it increases the pace, and makes gameplay more flexible.

Crazy idea comming up!

Vehicles! smile
A giant robot tee controlled by two players, one controlls the movement and the other the weaponry.
Would be for some team game play.
(or some other vehicle)

Maybe some stationary gun for a king of the hill mode,
imagine a hill with a stationary Mg on top of it,
the first to the hill takes the gun and tries to hold off all other players
as long as he can, and gets points for every 5 sec alive on the hill top.
