Try writing ping one of the IPs mentionned previously.
And about the default localhost address, that's pretty normal, no worries.

Hey piCog,
just to come a little bit closer to an solution (it helped me once). I think you are using Windows, so please
open an Terminal (think you know how 
) and start Teeworlds with it. The most simple way to do so,
is to drag and drop the teeworlds executable into the terminal and press enter. After you started Teeworlds and
see the 'No servers found' Message, shut down again and check the console. If you want, just post its content here
and maybe the teeworlds community can help you then 
.

Just to prevent any bad words because i named the community: It does not mean that
i think this community is crap. Some people i saw here i like to talk in-game and
the Staff seems really nice. But some individuals should really think a little bit more
about posts they will write in the future before a new member gets a bad impression of this forum.

Did you try lowering the br_max_requests amount?
Try br_max_requests 4 after pushing f1.

Just a question. Why does his terminal gives the output:
" disconnecting reason='unknown' "
and
" connecting to ' ' "
?
I checked my console to, but there is no such output. Why should teeworlds
disconnecting from something on startup? And why tries it to connect
to an not given address? It looks strange in my eyes o_o.
Can you give us the content of your settings.cfg file? Maybe there
is a line which should not be there?
And (just an idea, it helps me once while I have an unknown startup error)

Shortly Ive read about some TWServers who has been banned
from the Master Server because the had the description of
included Gamemodes but as modded version if you get ingame.
Could it be (for some reason), that his IP has been blocked?
He hasnt play for a while, maybe there is something I didnt read about blocked
Clients or something like that?
(Just a suggestion. I think that Im totally wrong but its an idea )

Maybe i missunderstood something, but you tried this Teeworlds Installer? Because you talked about settings im just asking :3.
So lets think about it:
you tried
several times to download teeworlds and start it
to delete the master server config file
to run as administrator
to deactivate the firewall & antivir software
change the maximum requests with the console of teeworlds (br_max_requests 4)
to check if your ip has been blocked (didnt you?)
and the only things that doesnt fit:
is that the console gives some strange lines
you never see even one server in the 'Internet' Tab
Im at the end of every possible solution. Maybe you should ask a developer directly? o_o
( i know that they may be busy, what here is somebody who like to play their work.

No...none of this ip's is mine... but i did everything frome these
Edit: Just everything repeated again...didn't helped at all...oh my i think there isn't any solution for this...:/ because i CAN play other online games (like crossfire and others) or other internet application like skype...ii just have a problem with teeworlds! Unbelieveable

I thought about something else.
Try to install a VM with another OS. It would be interesting if it really solves
the problem. Just try to install Ubuntu for the VirtualMachine and get install
teeworlds from the Software Center. If it works without problems, you
should take a closer look on your OS.
(I hope you are viewing this topic after that time x3 )

In your storage file, same folder as teeworlds executable, open storage.cfg and change last 3 lines from
add_path $USERDIR
add_path $DATADIR
add_path $CURRENTDIR
to
add_path $CURRENTDIR
add_path $DATADIR
add_path $CURRENTDIR
might work, might not..

A little while ago, I have also spoke to someone else who had the same issue, I went through a huge list of things and nothing helped. Really quite bizarre.

Hey Sorry to bring this topic up again but my friend and i are having the same issue and i have played today morning all was fine and then i wanted to play with him it stopped working and telling me no servers found later he had the same problem

Yep, this also happens to me. So apparently 0.7.0 has been released, however there's currently no update for the Steam version or on this page.
I also don't know what's going on, I guess you should just wait for further news regarding this topic. Im sorry for you and your friend, believe me when I say this normally doesn't happen in Teeworlds, I never saw this before (after being active for 7-8 years).

This is a global problem right now, this is not a problem on the client side unfortunately.
Hopefully it will get fixed ASAP.
