Topic: Teeworlds-like 3D Game

Hello guys, some months ago when attending a blender conference I said to a friend in a matter of joke that we should make teeworlds in 3D... and it took a second to realize that instead of a joke, it could be a great idea. So we started working on it on our free time and we got something interesting, I leave you the video (it hasn't been edited so action starts at 00:30). We still have so many features(bugs) to fix but I would like to see what do you guys think. So leave a comment if you liked it!

Is good to see some people active here smile. I could grab a copy of that project, and got some useful insights about how people reacted. Also there are some dead projects on Github. But I have a strong planning for my game so I hope I can do better and make of it more than a hobby project.

It's a 3d model apparently with lighting and you call it "concept art"? Lmao. Tho looks good for a prototype.

Having troubles finding servers in the serverlist? Go to Pastebin (its a referer cause there is daily a new pastebin) and add the lines to your settings.cfg (in %APPDATA%\teeworlds). Then open teeworlds and go to the favorites tab. (Note however, standard teeworlds client can only show 256 favorites, use ddnet instead)

people who like teeworlds love it for his gameplay, simplicity and so on... In my opinion, your try to make cool 3d graphics seems a big waste of time, sincerely.
In addition, originals tees don't looks so hangry like your, a really terrible version of our pretty alter-ego

Agree with you on most parts (except the waste of time). The character looks too angry and needs a redesign. I'm not trying to create the superb graphics that's why I went for low poly (although thank you for saying they are cool). And the gameplay is the most difficult thing to bring from 2D to 3D as it just changes everything. But the core stays, it's a simple fast pace multiplayer shooter.

It's still a cool challenge I think. Keeping the tee-ish aspect sounds difficult.
