Topic: Master servers

Yo all.
It started 3-4 days ago. I stopped seeing zcatch/gctf servers (teevision, ddnet) with players.

When i try to connect to zcatch server (a friend gave me ip to test) with more than 8 players, i only see this and after nothing else.

When i try to ping masters, only second master repling.

Do u block ukrainian/russian ip range? Can you resolve this problem?

Well, the problem is probably related to your computer, router, whatever. The fact that you can't connect to s random z catch server (this ip was in the serverlist when my script queried it, although double check it) means you have problems that aren't related to teeworlds.

Having troubles finding servers in the serverlist? Go to Pastebin (its a referer cause there is daily a new pastebin) and add the lines to your settings.cfg (in %APPDATA%\teeworlds). Then open teeworlds and go to the favorites tab. (Note however, standard teeworlds client can only show 256 favorites, use ddnet instead)

Nope, router, pc, laptop without changes 2 weeks, this start 4-5 days ago. I throught that is master problems as always and all will work again later but, nothing happend. I don't think that is problem in my hardware. Idk what happend, but the next day after my last game there was no servers with players on zcatch/gctf, half of the servers simply disappeared from browser. It seems on master server issue.

Are you still unable to access the ddnet.tw and status.tw websites? Because that can impossibly be caused by a problem with the masters and therefore must be an issue somewhere at your side. Maybe even at the side of your provider, who knows.

When you cannot connect to a teeworlds server by IP but your friend can, than that is also not a problem with the masters. Their task is just to inform you about all the teeworlds servers that exist (only their IPs!); but sending you the serverinfo and letting you connect is entirely the task of the gameservers themselves.

Maybe you installed or updates something or something updated itself without you even noticing it and causes these issues now.... Or it's really just your provider having some trouble with whatever... There are so many possibilities what may go wrong. The only thing that I'm pretty sure about is that it's not a teeworlds-sided thing, from what you told.

Additionally: maybe you just use Windows 10 and stuff happens without you knowing? big_smile

i can't get 80% of all servers in browser and CAN'T connect via ip (friend from russia can connect)
+ Increased ping, was 60 on this server before that problem and now 120. Now i'm 100% think that it's not a problem on my side.

Actually that should rather make you 100% sure that the problem MUST BE on YOUR side. If your friend has no problems but you have, that's the only things that would make sense.
Also, if you can't connect to almost all servers (like you said) that's another indication for the problem being somewhere between your computer and the internet. All teeworlds servers are independent of eachother, which means that if multiple servers suddenly won't let you connect anymore, it must be you.

So do I. And weirdly, I wasn't seeing all the servers either, a few days ago. I think even yesterday.
I don't think that it comes from our internet providers, but ok.

@neox I believe both. I think the op had provider issues as well as there were master server issues/attacks. Read my signature tongue v v v v v v v v. That list is daily updated which should be completely OK for normal servers
