[Tileset] Blades little beginner showroom (Page 1 of 2)

I think of doing a forest background doodad like Landil (?) Once did, but more in the genre of the normal grass doodads.

Maybe any requests? I am still learning the artstile, but i can always try and try again, right?

Said it, made it. What do you think of it? It's recolorable, tileable, and resizeable. Maybe i'll make a example map with both doodads.

@pielover88888 First of all, your nick is a pain in the bum to write down.. (No hate <3 ) Second of all, the "white" doodad that i did is only one of the 2 or 3 that i want to make, so you can use them to do multiple depths of layers. Btw thank you, happy to hear that they please you.

Is it just me or is the outline really thick?

This is what I do to create outlines for Teeworlds.

1) Create your object and don't worry about the out line.

2) Duplicate the object and delete all details keeping anything that gives the object its general shape.

3) select the remaining objects and give them the same outline.

4) group these objects and send them to the back of the original object.

5) duplicate the object again and make a much smaller outline.

6) now reorder the outline to make it look good and change to black.

Now you have a nice uniform outline around your object.

How ever the original axe was maid it produced a strange inconsistent outline. The way I do outlines is more consistent and more Teeish as with the Tee skins the outline is drawn behind the Tee so that it looks more cartoonish.  also the reason his outline may seem too thick is because you don't see a Tee holding it. maybe if this was to be placed in game and you could see a tee hold it, it would look normal. I don't know because I have not tested this.

technically the way Teeworlds does its weapons is not Teeish as the outline is not separate from the body of the weapon. to be more Teeish Teeworlds should separate the body of the weapon and the shadow so that it can be put together like skins are done.  The black axe to the right would be the thick outline and would be drawn when the Tee skins outline is drawn. The axe body to the left would then be drawn when the rest of the Tees skin is drawn.

The reason this is not how weapons/flags are drawn is because the Tee can not look left and when the Tee looks right the weapon/flag is not above the Tee. because the weapon is always behind the Tee the weapon can have the outline does not need to be separate.
