tCatch Teeworlds gamemode.

Today I decided to take a little break from developing main projects and create something small, yet funny. And... that's where tCatch comes from.

tCatch is gamemode based on zCatch by erd and Teetime. Rules are similar, but there is two new features, which makes gameplay more tactical:

  • When tee dies, the killer takes control of it's body.

  • When tee hooks another tee, they swap their bodies.

This makes tCatch slightly more dynamic than the original mod.

But, where do that crazy rules came from? Hihihi 8D The "DeathTP" (configurable via sv_death_tp) came from my very first zCatch experience, when I tried to guess the rules and I thought that it's one of them. The second one is just my invention to make movement even more important.

PS. Name stands for TeleportationCatch. But I prefer short "tCatch" version.

I downloaded the sources to set up a server. I discovered several bugs and fixed them, they were mostly crashes, but I fixed them. I made a repository on gitlab.com, first private but I decided to make it open to the public.

Source: https://gitlab.com/uDDRace/tCatch
Binaries: Linux, thanks to Ryozuki. if someone sends me, I would add them
I allowed Issues and Merge Requests (Pull requests on gitlab) so if you want to contribute...
I set up an "official" server with the very latest version on 185.26.156.44:65012

Having troubles finding servers in the serverlist? Go to Pastebin (its a referer cause there is daily a new pastebin) and add the lines to your settings.cfg (in %APPDATA%\teeworlds). Then open teeworlds and go to the favorites tab. (Note however, standard teeworlds client can only show 256 favorites, use ddnet instead)
