Topic: unstopable DoS attacks on Infection servers..

How do we deal with that attacks?
He(yes, only 1 person) was attacking us for about a week(not continuously ofc)
Ban does not help..
I only know his nickname and 2 ips
Nickname of attacker is HalloWeeN(sometimes he change it to something like Misa ...)
first IP: 178.166.X.X
second IP: 149.62.X.X
He is friend of Infection 64 admin, and I think he just removes the competitors..
Help us if you know how

no thanks, we can host it ourselfs

I mean that the ban does not help in the case, they cannot enter it, but send connect and disconnect messages, faster than the server can handle them, and that way they overloads it..

well, just wanted to offer hosting it on a ddos protected server, well, then I cannot help you, sadly

isnt there some kinda patch for reconnect flooding?

jxsl i`m owner of xpanic there is the problem we have ddos protection..  it help for some days but now they atack ports... 8303 and others .. then server have 1000 ping but not  vps :C vps work normal but  teeworlds server not

This looks like what happens with the blocker servers.

It's about giving and taking, stop, and I am sure the lord will stop sending you bad karma.

Whatever, I never understood you DOeS kids with your paid GUI stress red feeling like hackers. So probably do what you want anyways, but I never resisted to attacks, and never got into trouble like that.

Real programmers don't comment their code - it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
