Topic: Brainstorming for my new zombie mod

Hi all

I'm trying to decide a name for my new mod. The idea is to defend the base against zombie outbreak, a bit like in my previous mod, Tee Defence, but with more interesting gameplay and better content.

Name ideas this far:
The Last Tee Fortress (TLTF)
Zombie Outbreak Response Team (ZORT)
Last Fortress Against Zombies (LFAZ)
Base Under Attack (BUA)
Base Under Zombie Attack (BUZA)

All kinds of ideas and suggestions are welcome as well. Weapon upgrades, skills, status effects, AI behaviors, lose conditions...

Ok there is my ideas

- Use the name TLTF
- Game techiques from zChaos
- Shop and upgrade from Monster
- Bases are flags to protect it from the zombies
- If Zombies catch flagbase you have 10 sec to return it at Base
NEW ideas:
- if a player hurted by a zombie, the player will trasform in a zombie or spectated (Infection)
- Two flags, Red and blue, but the zombies can catch its independatly the team
- Color the players when is do a zombie kill (zCatch)
- Anticamper (zCatch)

I was thinking about multiple flags in base that zombies could capture, but since the players can't see multiple flags of the same color at the same time, I had to abandon the idea.

Having only one flag that cant be captured could work. If there's zombies near the flag the countdown begins, and if players cant clear the flag area fast enough the round is over. This would work also with multiple flags / bases as long as they are not too close to each other (right now my test mod shows / snaps only the closest flag to a player)

TLTF is my favorite of the listed names too.

my first idea :
if you want make dm mod :
use 3 team in this mod to be diffrent zombie mod
team 1 : normal players
team 2 : zombies
team 3 : human bots
make 3 base for each team // gamytype will include attack  and defend
else > new idea :
the race mod on zombie
it will similar to ddrace but there is zombies on your way that can make your way hard
so you can make tiles of zombies (hard zombie, medium, easy )
example these 3 tiles can be use for maping

I think I'll go with the flag area defending. It doesn't require many players and allows non-competitive, more casual gameplay.

Some ideas regarding the AI, feel free to suggest more:

Base AI behavior:
The zombies seeks the closest flag and runs towards it. If the movement stops (Pos.x is close to the Pos.x a while ago) while the zombie want to advance, the zombie jumps. Each zombie has individual reaction time.

I might add some AI behavior game tiles, e.g. force jump & force move -tiles, so zombies knows when not to run directly in to death tiles.


Runner:
Runs directly towards the flag area ignoring the defending tees.

Shooter:
Finds defenders inside given radius (100 - 800 depending on weapon) and starts shooting / hammering if defenders are found.

Grabber:
Hooks defenders and tries to drag them farther from the flag area.

Freedom fighter:
Seeks the defenders and explodes when close enough.

Ninja:
Attacks defenders on sight but has limited vision (e.g. ninjas won't attack you if you're standing behind them).

Another variation could be predefined move & attack patterns, e.g. jump, slash, airjump, slash backwards.

Zombie lord:
Spawns weak zombies next to him if empty slots available.

its all of your gm ! no any idea can come! because it is just defend ...:(
just have this 2 :
make Grabber like spider man // use these tunes : long hook lenght , speed of hook drag
use remote bomb weapon for defenders: put bomb then fire with hammer // include swich your weapon without firing your bomb !
