Topic: Slowness in windows 8

I updated my old XP to windows 8 pro 32bit now my teeworlds is slow already tried updating the drives drives estam everyone updated especially the video card what can I do to solve my problem?

Additional Information:
Video card: Intel
Processor: Pentium (R) dual-core
Memory Ram: 4,00gb

I guess your computer is simply not fit for running windows 8. It eats up a lot more CPU and RAM than windows xp. A Pentium processor is from the stone age so this might be the cause. Also an onboard video card is not the optimal solution for running games. Even when running just teeworlds with windows 8 in background.

How ever, i would also recommend you to downgrade to Win XP, or even better, get a new PC.

Your pc should be able to run teeworlds at a decent speed imho.
Try to tweak the (opengl) driver settings a bit. Maybe the intel drivers aren't working as expected /:

It should be able to run Win 8 fine. Ricardo, make sure you downloaded latest graphic drivers.

What is the nature of this slowness? Type this into the F1 command line:

cl_showfps 1

It should now show the FPS number in top right corner. What number does it show?
If it's more than 60 I suggest you enable Vsync in graphics options, or type this into F1 commnad line:

gfx_vsync 1

That poor PC should not be forced to render more than 60 frames per second sad

But... what if we tried more power?
