Topic: Serverbrowser won't load servers properly

Hey,
so I got this problem since a few months. It doesn't bothers me really because I normally only use my favourites tab.
The problem is, that when I use the serverbrowser it stops searching at about 19% and then it continues just showing me the IP of the servers all with a 999 ping. This goes until everythings loaded (The first 20% are loaded in a few seconds, rest takes a few minutes). So then i got about 30% of all servers and the rest with a 999 ping. (I can only see them when I uncheck compatible version in the filter). It happens with the normal Teeworlds client and with the ddrace.info client. I don't have any other filters active and neither my firewall or my router is blocking the game so I don't know why this is happening. It can't be my internet speed, because I got VDSL50 (51mbit/s down and 10mbit/s up)
I couldn't find anything on Google about this so I'm asking here and I hope someone can help me.

Hey Michael,

you could try lowering the variable "br_max_requests" (via your console - accessable via the key "F1"), to 10 or even 5.
Maybe this will solve your issue.

Hey, thanks for the fast response.
This makes it "a little bit" better. (Goes up to 35% and then slow).
Anything else I could do? hmm

I had the same problem for the last two years. You don't happen to be living in Germany and own a Speedport router?
Cause that was the problem for me. Ended up switching internet provider, to Kabel Deutschland - different router, too - never had problems again.

Yep. Telekom and a Speedport... But there is no other internet provider possible for me hmm
Shitty Telekom, I hate them. Now as you say it I think the problem started when we got a new Router (From the Speedport w723v Typ A to the Speedport w921v) I didn't had this problem with the old one but the w723v just has too many hardware bugs.

Also have telekom, but not those issues (Speedport 303 though).

I just found out that there is a bug on the 921v with the latest firmware that makes port forwarding useless. I think I'll  wait until the next update or I have to downgrade. neutral

How the f*ck can that be a problem?! Im using also Telekom and a Speedport ... I have so much better Internet here where I originally am, but I just have this freaking problem with the server browser.

I had similar problem, my router sometimes blocked http and other protocols. First time I restarted it and it was enough. A half year later I changed router and really forgot about any problems smile
