Topic: New translation system

In order to better manage the translations, we have moved them to the transifex platform, here.

Contributing new translations should be easier and more straightforward now.

Steps in order to translate strings:

  1. Create an account

  2. Verify your email address

  3. Go to the Teeworlds project page

  4. Click on the language you want to translate

  5. Click 'Join team'

  6. Click 'teeworlds.pot'

  7. Click 'Translate now'

  8. Start translating! smile

Status as of May 3, 2014:
As you can see, all but two languages still need strings translated, ranging from a few strings (~5) needing translation to coverage of slightly below 50%, your help would be very appreciated.

Guys, what is Lgt:, Alp:, Crc ?? Because i don't know how to translate it..:/ It's shortcuts?

Hue
Saturation
Lightness
Alpha (which means transparency)

Crc is some kind of checksum.

In what string word 'Play' mean 'To start playing demo' and in what mean 'To start playing game'

The string with the context "DemoBrowser" (see 'More details') is used in the demo browser for 'play a demo' while the other one with the context "None" is used as 'play the game'.

For the unique noun "Tee",should we use the exact same form or a phonetic transcribe? (i.e. "Tee" or "Ti")

I guess that might depend on the language. While I myself would prefer "tee" for languages with the latin alphabet, I have no clue how the best for other languages might be achieved.

imo it shouldnt be adapted. Would also just cause confusion (Teeworlds - Ti?)

Grenades = Grenade Launcher?

In my language isn't the same a "grenade" that "grenade launcher"... The grenade launcher uses grenades... the grenades not need be used by grenade launcher

"Grenade" is only used as "Grenade launcher" in Teeworlds. So feel free to translate it as grenade launcher.
