Topic: Port Forwarding Issue

Hey everyone! I have been playing teeworlds for about 8 months now and I am hooked...hehe get it. Anyways I have been trying to set up my own teeworlds server online, and have not been very successful. Heres what I have done so far:

1) Created a map as "Testmap"
2) Created server_config file.
2) Attempted to create a port forwarding with:

Application: Teeworlds
Port From: 8303
Protocol: UDP
IP Address: 192.168.1.80 (My WAN Ip??)
Port to: 8303

My router is a Belkin, and it uses a program called "DD-wrt" to access it?

So after all of this I goto start the server, and it only is available on LAN. This is what I get for output from the server...

[531a3555][register]: ERROR: the master server reports that clients can not connect to this server.
[531a3555][register]: ERROR: configure your firewall/nat to let through udp on port 8303.

Any help would be fantastic!

Re: Port Forwarding Issue

I really don't know why nobody writes in port forwarding manuals one main thing: all you are doing is senseless while your ip is not dedicated.
Just make sure, that your internet provider gave you a dedicated IP(usually, people pay for that). If ip is not dedicated, or dynamic, nobody can help you here.

Your router can very well forward dynamic IPs, I don't see the issue here. I believe that most people that run Teeworlds servers have dynamic IPs.

So if it's not dedicated or dynamic what is it?

Not Luck, Just Magic.

Did you forward this port on your OS as well?
