Topic: What are the conditions for running a registered server?

Are there any particular rules that a server must respect for it to be allowed in the public server list or can it have any settings and rules of its own? (besides flooding)

What rules should the moderators of the server respect? What kind of behavior is not acceptable and what kind of behavior is discouraged? (besides spamming)

Thanks!

There are few rules for being listed on the master servers:

  • Do not run non-standard servers with standard gametypes ("DM", "TDM", "CTF", soon also "SUR" and "...")

  • Do not flood the server list

  • Do not report a wrong player count in the server info

Generally don't interfere with the players playing with the standard client (basically all rules developed from this).

EDIT: What you do on your server is mostly your business, there aren't any rules for that (yet).

Also note that these rules might change if we find some kind of abusive behavior that isn't covered yet.
