Topic: Game is slow in Ubuntu 13.04

Hi.
I download teeworlds 0.6.2 for ubuntu.
But the game is so slow and cursor is lag when mowing.
I don't have any problem in windows 7.
What should i do?

What graphic drivers do you have? I once had a problem like yours using Ubuntu.
What resolution are you running Teeworlds in? I'll try to help, but I've never helped very well with these types of problems.

Oh, and do any other games/apps have this problem? When I had Ubuntu, my Firefox Internet Browser had the same problem that Teeworlds did.

I's fixed.
When i opening a web page with chromium or firefox and then starting the game this problem happened.
I close other program and launching the game.
And it's fixed.

That's weird. Does it happend with _any_ webpage? Or some webpages? If so, then what are those webpages? What if no webpages are open and there's just a new tab? And also what is the model of your graphics card? Can you please open a terminal then type:

 lspci -vv > ~/Desktop/lspci_output

and upload the file created in your desktop?
Is it a laptop or a PC? If it's a laptop what is it's model? Also test if connecting the laptop to power adapter solves the issue. How much RAM do you have? What about CPU?
How did you install the game? Compiled from source or from Ubuntu app center?

But... what if we tried more power?

I have a PC. Nvidia 9800GT
Ram: 4GB
When i open Any webpages it happend.
But now it's fixed.
When i want play the game.
I close all browser and other internet programs.

No it's not fixed. It's called a workaround. It's fixed when it behaves as it's supposed to behave (i.e. you can play while having webpages open).

Try having a browser open in another window, and see what happens. I don't know past this point. I guess we can blame canonical for this big_smile

But... what if we tried more power?
