Topic: Maps wont download properly

Hey Guys

Seems I am having an issue where clients can not download maps from my server. The can start the download , but it freezes at random points , some times it downloads fully , other times it does not.

I have searched the forums and could not find anything.

Are you using vanilla Teeworlds or some modification, like DDRace? Please also specify the version.

Do you host your server on your home computer?

Im useing a slightly modified 0.6.2 Client on win7 64bit and encounter the same problem.

I am using DDRace.

Server is hosted from a dedicated box in a datacenter

This issue seems to be quite common. I have tried with multiple clients, including the latest vanilla 0.6.2 teeworlds and it refuses to download any map larger than 10 kb. This includes maps on CTF servers, DDrace Servers, etc etc.

EDIT: So I deleted all my files in AppData and it seems to have improved it quite a bit. Donno what could have caused the problem, maybe it was my 1000+ file map download folder.

But... what if we tried more power?

Maybe you had ran out of space

20 gigs free. Not a space issue. There are other people who have the same issue, so its not an isolated incident.

I noticed this too but only if the connection to the server I wanted to join was weak (about 4Kb/s). On servers with better connection I could download huge maps without problems.
