Topic: Questions

Hi!

I have some questions that I could not find an answer to using the search function here and in google. I'm on a macintosh.

-Some of my recorded demos crash during a certain point. I searched on google, but those threads had to do with an older version, and one said it was fixed in the latest version. I don't know what is going on, and I don't know how to fix this?

-I want to make a bind where it says “gg” and then disconnects from the server after. When I do this, it activates both commands at the same time and the “gg” isn’t shown. How do I do this with one key press?

-How will the custom tee skins for 0.7 work? (Ones made with an external program)

Other comments:

-Tees’ feet walk backwards when facing the other direction!?

It was hard finding working links to dilate/borderfix (at least for me).
(Win)https://downloads.teeworlds.com/solidfi … dilate.exe
(Win)https://downloads.teeworlds.com/solidfi … derfix.exe
(Mac)http://kttns.org/f/yjq1

On mac version of teeworlds:
-Dilate/borderfix for mac: It took a few minutes until I figured that
1)I needed to open terminal.app
2)drag one of the programs onto the terminal window
3)drag the picture (to be fixed) onto the same window after
4)press return: the program replaces the image with the fixed one.

-Teeworlds doesn’t let me move the window unless it is inactive.
-Teeworlds doesn’t let me use cmd-q to quit.
-Teeworlds Server doesn’t let me cmd-q to quit.
-Teeworlds Server doesn’t have a scroll bar, so I can't see any lines it prints that exceeds the window.
-The autoexec.cfg location is in $USERDIR rather than $CURRENTDIR. (Contrary to windows version I think)

Thanks!

Re: Questions

Your bind issue: You may do that by creating two .cfg files inside your teeworlds config folder. Name on gg.cfg and the other one disconnect.cfg. Open gg.cfg in an text editor and write this down:

say "gg"
bind X "exec disconnect.cfg"

while X is your desired button. In the other file, disconnect.cfg, write this down:

disconnect
bind X "exec gg.cfg"

I didn't test this ingame, but it should work anyways.

For the skin system you may watch this video of an early prototype or download and compile the 0.7 source right here and look for yourself.

Re: Questions

I have tried that approach with the two cfg files. should have reworded my questions to be more specific… I meant to ask if it was possible with only one key press.

For the skin system, I also should have been more specific. I mean, how will custom skins (made with an external program) work with teeworlds?

Bump..

I still can't figure out the demo problem.

It will be slightly more complex. You need to create all the parts in separate tee part graphics e.g. new teebodies, feet etc. then u create a configuration file which defines the custom settings for ur skin.
