Topic: Soccer mod

Hello world
I though that a soccer mod in teeworlds would be fun. It looks like the ctf mod : there is a ball which spawn in the center of the map. The two teams fight to bring the ball to their spawn. To catch the ball Tees need to hook it.
I think it could develop an interesting way to play the game: for example, to learn to handle objects like the ball with the hook, and new strategies would appears...
I don't think it would take a lot of time to develop, and I don't think it would be too hard.
What do you think of my idea ?

a long time ago(i thing the version was 3.4 lol ) there was such a mod....but i dont know who had made it.

Also known as Teeball. Has been suggested several times already. I still think it should be an official gamemode.

The Hoster of Teball was RomD, he has made Teesmash, too.

+1, this would also allow an enhanced catch the flag game.

Every team has a ball, you need to bring home the other teams ball while you have the ball. Its in many things just like flags, only difference, movement with the ball is obviously more difficult than movement with the flag. So you need better teamplay to protect the ball-carrier while he goes home. Or throw the ball to each other... for accelareted homebringing.

I think it would be better if there was only one ball for the two teams, like in real soccer. One ball for each team looks too much like ctf...

azmeuk, I hope this would be in the choice of the map designer. And I played a lot of games with 2 balls, and yes 2 balls is on purpose an enhanced CTF variant.
