Topic: an other new gun suggestion

i think it would be nice to have some kind of brick gun
it shoots 1 tee big bricks
you can stand on the bricks and hook it
after 30 seconds it dissapears
the brick sticks on walls and on ground
and it should have a damage of 1
(the brick sticks were the hook hooks)

That's a wicked idea. big_smile Won't happen I suppose, but the idea is crazy enough for me to like it. big_smile

There could also be something like a BioRifle from Unreal Tournament, pic here: http://unreal.pl/pic/bronie/biofire.JPG - although I don't expect any new weapons in ANY future.

Bad idea. The maps are built in a super damn pro way so you can use your hook to fly trough 'em.
Those bricks would only disturb and it would slow down the gameplay.

o10, this idea is quite nice. Something like that could maybe fit teeworlds. wink

Solek, Tee worlds Isn't about your Crazy And Stupid Weapon idea's...
Even though there little Round Cute Buggers with guns, There sill still somewhat of a Sensible Theme to it, EX: Were using Weapons that do or can exist.
There is No and Never will be a "Brick Gun"
Try to keep things within reason hmm....

Yeah, totally agree with that statement, 101kl. I have a laser rifle in my left pocket all the time.

id like the idea of a brick gun but i dunno if it would fit the official version. some people (maybe myself) could try to add it in a mod but it wouldnt be easy tongue

This is a good idea imo. In fact I had a similar idea, but rather foldable mini helicopters that would fly rather than bricks (to carry the weight of a Tee and the wings would be damaging; they could also be destroyed). I wanted to implement it in a mod in 0.6.0. Unfortunately it is not possible for now as it requires prediction handling, which is hardcoded into the client. This is also unlikely to be in vanilla gamemodes anytime soon.

Solek, you have to understand that Teeworlds gameplay is WAAAY too fast for a brick gun. It could be a cool mod where you have to build your way to the top (for the flag), but it's just too slow for the official game!
