Topic: No master servers. Retrying in 60 seconds.

I have this problem
it says

Refreshing ip addresses
Fetching server counts
WARNING: No master servers. Retrying in 60 seconds.

I am on Windows VPS, 2gb rab, 32bit.
When I try to host from my own computer, No problems at all.
Any help?

Ip is: 64.186.144.17 <-- Check if I am on the ban list please..
But it couldn't be cause this is the first time trying on my VPS..

What do you mean about firewalled?

I added exception on port 8303 on both TCP & UDP on my VPS firewall, which is how you do on a VPS to portforward.

Any suggestions?

are you sure the outgoing traffic is allowed? It does not say people can not connect to you, but that you can not connect to the master servers. Master servers are running on port 8300.

I'm running RSPS (RuneScape Private Server) on my VPS & it works just perfect..
I dont know what's wrong with this.. I'll hook up the, support of my VPS, and ask if it can't connect to port 8300, cause when I run the game it seems that no servers appear.. No servers at all.

Hello Persson,

After making several changes we are able to telnet the following on your VPS.

master1.teeworlds.com 67.215.65.132:8300

But we are still not able to telnet the remaining master servers.

master2.teeworlds.com 171.25.159.24:8300
master3.teeworlds.com 178.63.226.59:8300
master4.teeworlds.com 195.22.75.123:8300

Fyi, also we are only able to telnet 67.215.65.132 from our local computer, but unable to telnet the remaining.

Now, as master1.teeworlds.com 67.215.65.132:8300 is working fine on your VPS hence it indicates that there is no problem with the port 8300.


Please let us know if you require any further assistance.

However I am still not able to connect.
I tried every port.
From 1 to 100
From 8000 to 8400
I even tried the port that is used for Runescape servers which is working just fine for my Runescape Server. However it still gives me the same error.
I can not even connect to my server by typing it the ip & port

There is no record for master1. No idea what's wrong with your internet. Also telnet wont work on master3, try opening it as a web page.

M!nus it's not my internet.. it's vpsland lol. But i found out the problem.. Vpsland disabled all UDP ports except 53. So my server is now running on port 53 and it is also on the serverlist now. So if you wish to check it out sometime join "S!K Dummy Server" wink

Oh also a weird thing. How can this topic have gotten 2000 views but only 11 replies.

So they messed up your internet. Ask them to forward all ports to your server or switch your isp. Maybe you try out hosteurope.de, the price is ok and the performance also.

So they messed up your internet. Ask them to forward all ports to your server or switch your isp. Maybe you try out hosteurope.de, the price is ok and the performance also.

Botox, you're an idiot, I already stated the the problem was fixed, so moderators can actually lock the topic now. VPSLand disabled all UDP ports except 53, so my server is now running on port 53. So they did not mess up my internet. They disabled them because of UDP Floods, and the ports will soon be enabled again.

Also how can they mess up MY internet when it's not MY internet but theirs?

ZOMFG! It's not their internet, it's not your internet, it's not our internet. It's just a global network called internet. Which you can participate in (is this the right word oO).
But it's your internet connection, on your vps. And they fucked it up by droping all udp packets except the ones on port 53.

You can check the masters with this program I made: TeeworldsMasterServerPinger.exe (requires .NET 4)
It should look like this then: http://static.mnus.de/minus/teeworlds/files/TeeworldsMasterServerPinger.png

And on your VPS you might checking `iptables -L`, maybe they don't block it  but some preset iptables rules.
