I mean internet speed, RAM and CPU.
Uses hardly any CPU, but to my opinion quite a lot of RAM with a maximum of 15Mb. Your internet connection at home probably won't be quite fast enough for other people to play on it without laggs, if you don't have glass fibre or some other sort of high speed internet! But if you are wanting to run it on a dedicated server, there shouldn't be too many problems.
a vanilla server with 16 slots doesnt need more then 35MB RAM and CPU usage isnt worth to mention ^^
the bandwidth... well the server needs ofc some upload bandwidth.... 1000kbit/s (128kB/s) upload should be enough for 16 slots but im not pretty sure... can be that players will lag anyway xD
dont forget... for most internet connections the download speed is much faster then the upload speed....
a 16000 ADSL connection normally only has 1000kbit/s upload.
Is there any way how i can run more then 16 slots?

Yes.. but you need a custom client and server for that.

And masterservers.
Custom masterserver and server. I think that you don't need a custom client.

You need a custom client.
Oh..well it's just that I connected to DDRace servers with 32 players with standard client.Worked fine...
DDRace has workarounds that make its 32 clients compatible to the standard teeworlds client.
They are actually using hacks not to broadcast all the clients on their server, so it's not a real solution.
Why there is 16 slots limit? I dont get it..

So you want to play with 32 players? 64? 128? 256? 512???
16 is optimal number of players for most maps/servers. 32 can do,but 64 and over is just not needed...(I don't know why they programmed nodes for 64 players...)
Oh yea btw,I remember a famous saying,it go's by: Keep It Simple Stupid!
12 players on a map is really a limit in my opinion, and 4 slots more are good for spectating. 6n6 really starts to be chaotic, even on maps like ctf2. And there would be some bandwidth problems too, I guess.
